What doubts? The record and competition speaks for itself. Mayweather never beat a Hall Of Fame fighter in their prime.

 

Whitaker won that fight but Chavez was obviously past his best, and debuting at that weight with that quality of fighter. Chavez vs Whitaker should have happened way sooner. Still, Chavez resume is superior.

Dude are you serious? Chavez didn't fight a SHOT as **** Whitaker. Whitaker was arguably P4P the BEST. There is a difference between a DEBUT and fighting for a second time. Cotto is also not at the level of WHitaker. Chavez had been in several wars and was fighting constantly. Almost 100 fights. And was older than Whitaker. The comparison you brought up is waaaaay off.
