I'll take Jofre by decision. More well rounded, skilled, dynamic, and clever than Zarate's more powerful but rather methodical style. Jofre would be able to withstand Zarate's power and use his better ring IQ, body attack, and creative offense to beat him.

Eder Jofre advanced to the final with a comfortable points decision over Carlos Zarate; Zarate never reached Jofre with his vaunted power though he established a touch jab and some hooks to the body which scooped up rounds and clearly made Jofre uncomfortable, but at no time did the result seem in doubt.

Pivoting and throwing in volume, Jofre's punches were hardly shoe-shined but he did seem to want to box early and it was a strategy that worked for him; Zarate took only one of the first six rounds on all three judges cards. Hard right hands appeared to box Zarate in down the stretch and while he took the fifteenth on the pressure his shyness of the Jofre overhand right and right-uppercut was clear.
