H2H P4P Heavyweights. I've incorporated a P4P criteria in these heavyweight rankings as I believe it is unfair to pit a 185 lb Marciano/200 lb Louis against 220 lb+ giants of later, though in a p4p sense these rank higher.
    1)Muhammad Ali
    2)Rocky Marciano
    3)Joe Louis
    4)George Foreman
    5)Joe Frazier
    6)Mike Tyson
    7)Larry Holmes
    8)Oleksandr Usyk
    9)Evander Holyfield
    10)Tyson Fury

Fun but impossible to do meaningfully I think.

One thing where the p4p argument is concerned - it works both ways. Off Marciano is bigger he’s slower. If Lennox Lewis is smaller he is faster. And so on. Can Marciano really remain absolutely elite when being size adjusted for speed? He’s not the quickest to begin with.Workrate too.

I believe it is best to just take them at their natural size rather than adjusting them. Put simply is Marciano a better fighter at 185 than Lewis is at 240, and I believe he is.

I agree. But I think that goes all down the line. So Hagler was a better fighter than Ricky etc. Balance and coordination get harder and harder with size.

Lewis would probably kill Marciano in a round though.

But that doesn't mean he wins.

Yes I agree H2H Lewis probably beats him, but in this ranking system p4p Marciano ranks higher.

    Hmm. For me, it's probably....

    1. Ali
    2. Louis
    3. Holmes

Those are pretty much set in stone for me. Then....

    4. Lewis
    5. Johnson
    6. Dempsey
    7. Marciano
    8. Tyson
    9. Liston
    10. Foreman

I don't know. Something like that.

Again I don't see why Fury is on there and not Lewis Fury has only beat 3 ranked opponents where as Lewis beat 13 which is 4 times as many.

Lewis is much more proven against tougher opposition and Fury has shown much more weaknesses against lesser opposition. For example arguably lost to McDermott a British level fighter, arguably lost to an MMA fighter, was down 4 times against Wilder who is very limited, and overall has been down 8 times in his career.

I think it's ridiculous not to have Lewis in a top 10 H2H for Heavyweights when he was in the 2nd strongest Heavyweight era of all time and has one of the best resumes of any Heavyweight. Lewis was clearly the best of his era where as Fury clearly isn't the best of his era so again very baffling to me.

    Hi Buddy.
Welcome to the forum, and nice to see you hit the ground running, with a few interesting topics, as to this one, I am not quite across what you are trying to ascertain, but that's probably down to me, I do share @Dynamicpuncher bafflement tho, and to see a top ten HW list without Lewis is somewhat strange, also ( for me ) Usyk is not yet worthy of a place amongst the elite, good fighter that he is, the wins over AJ and Fury are indeed a good show, but then again I don't overly rate either up against the likes of Ali / Louis/ Holmes/ Lewis, and maybe a few others, it all seems to quick, when it comes to rating some HWs, or indeed lower weights, but that's just me I would imagine, anyway thanks for the post, and hopefully more to come.
    stay safe FB, chat soon.

Your telling me Jack Johnson and Schmeling beat Tyson, Holyfield, Frazier? They get blown out their shoes by all three of them.
