Reading all the Joe C debates out there, despite what's said about him, if B-Hops beats him it'll seal his legacy. Same with anyone who beats JC in my opinion (below cruiserweight before he slows down). I think it's because of Joe's speed, skill and chin. It feels like it'd be a special performance to beat him. Probably similar to MAB beating Naz or Pac beating MAB. But who else out there would be an ATG/HOF gatekeeper. Can't think of PBF fighting one. Maybe only Castillo but they weren't as comprehensive.
Hopkins doesn't need to beat Calzaghe to "seal his legacy". It is already signed and sealed. He is only enhancing it, now.
I dont consider him a legend....legends avenge defeats...legends travel across the world to fight for titles and legends dont call themselves one everytime they speak..... Hopkins will be remembered for beating two Welterweights with huge names, losing to Jones Jr (who is a legend), and beating a bunch of nothing-specials to gain a 20 bout winning streak..... The fact that he lost to Taylor twice on the spin seals for me that he isn't a legend......he couldnt avenge the only defeat he had where he was expected to win, TWICE Don't confuse names on a resume and longevity with Legendary status....
