ATG HW Champ Larry Holmes Gets Statue In Easton, PA

Easton, PA honoured it's hometown champion Larry Holmes with Bronze statue for his amazing career and the fact that after earning tens of millions of prize money, he never left his hometown.

Not only didn't Holmes move from Easton, but when factories closed down laying off thousands of workers, Larry Holmes purchased them, and put people back to work. Years later those same factories are not only still in business, but earning record profits which are passed on to workers as profit sharing.

At 66 years old, Larry Holmes isn't hurting for money and probably owns a good chunk of Easton, PA.
Easton citizens love Holmes and if someone came to town speaking negatively of Larry, they had better be careful. The people of Easton don't play that.

Is Larry Holmes, who dropped out of high school in the 7th grade to help feed his 11 siblings, one of the smartest ex-HW champions of them all?

Also that he not only invested in his hometown and saved thousands of jobs but he only has a 7th grade education but still achieved all that.
