ATG LHW Tourney - Round 2 - Harry Greb vs Dwight Muhammad Qawi

Qawi is forced to go hammer and tong with the lighter cyclone that is Harry Greb and he gets the better more concise work down to earn a close decision win in one for the ages.

 

I really hate not being able to see footage of Greb fight. Of course his record is pretty damn amazing but I am the type of guy that likes to comment on what I see. Really sucks that we can't see this guy fight and have to just go off of written word.

With that said, I have watched every piece of film that exists on Qawi and I think he was just a phenomenal fighter and the more naturally bigger guy at 175 between the two. Wierd saying that with him only being 5'6 but it is true. Greb look like he was a true 160 pounder.

I'm sure I am going to get blasted by folks on here for this but I am going with what I can see and taking Qawi.

 

Greb is Greb and Braxton had trouble w Johnny and Eddie Davis. Couldnt catch Spinks. Made his name off the bones of 4 washed up fighters. Rossman. Scott. Saad. Martin. Saad.

 

Qawi wins. Greb looks vey amateurish in the only footage which exists

 

Qawi. No reason other than I think his style matches up well. Not to mention Tunney's precariously low hands.

 

Qawi wins this one, by UD against Greb.

Crap.....sorry, got distracted there by work and must have just read something about Tunney. Now I have to actually think. Great.

 

As impeccable as i think Greb is, i just think Qawi is bigger and stronger. Greb runs the tables at 160, but......

 

Voted Qawi although without footage of Greb difficult to pick.

 

Qawi beats the ever living Holy **** outta Greb.

Much as many of you might not wanna admit this, Greb wouldn't challenge Qawi with his "somewhat primitive skills."

 

Can't pick this one easily, Greb's record is incredible, but I have actually seen Qawi fight.

Ah screw it, Greb by close decision.
