I know, I know this has been done before. This is what the toruney turned out, so don't give me too much ****.

Jones, who out-sped and out-pointed Gene Tunney to get his place here, takes on The Jinx Genie, who beat the cagey Harold Johnson to wind here, himself.

Does Mike Jinx Jones or does Roy run? No Post, No Vote.

Man Spinks could crack at 175! He's going to catch Roy late and KO him

I'm going to take the jinx to find Roy at some point over 15. He had genuine one punch power and that herky jerky rhythm and punch variety might help him land that fight changing blow here. He was also close to the dirtiest fighter of his era if you watched closely enough. He also has a bit of reach and height on Jones and had a superb chin at 175. Allied to that we have Eddie Futch. I'll take him by late stoppage.

Jones was a freak of nature, but he wasn't unhittable. I never got this hyperbole around him. He's fast, he's slick, he's ****ing insane! But he wasn't unhittable. Spinks catches him, clean and he goes down and stays down.

Jones' hand speed, unorthodox rhythm and sharp-shots should let him be up on points, but he'd have to work around Spinks' jab and avoid his power, and I don't think he can do both.

Spinks KO10 or Spinks UD15, depending on what Jones does.

Roy was an amazing athlete with incredible reflexes but I have Spinks winning this one. Spinks faced much better competition at 175 than Jones and to me was the more complete fighter. Hell even their trip north to heavyweight doesn't compare. Jones win over Ruiz is hardly comparable to Spinks beating Holmes twice. Jones wins some rounds in this one but ultimately gets caught and stopped by the Jinx.

    Roy Jones by decision.

There is zero evidence that Spinks knows how to fight as the slower man. Spinks whole pro career and even in the Olympics always relied on his speed.

There's zero evidence he doesn't either.

Exactly and he would still have a superior speed advantage in a matchup with Spinks

Jones beat Tunney?! Where is that thread? ;)

Anyways, I'd pick Spinks for the reasons other posters have pointed out.
