Roy is P4P the most powerful puncher ever. Do I really need to go down the list of guys who were considered impossible to stop that Roy stopped in spectacular fashion?

Who did Spinks stop that were considered impossible to stop?

    Well that's also WILDLY inaccurate.

    Jones was a devastating puncher at 160 & 168.

He was still a good puncher at 175, but Spinks was arguably the second best puncher in the history of 175 behind Foster.

The Spinks fight is at 175 so I do not even know the hell what you are talking about.Regradless, I would never call Roy a devastating one punch KO Artist at any weight

So a "good puncher" stopped IRON chins like Merqi Sosa, Clinton Woods and Virgil Hill? Knocked out Montell Griffin in the 1st round. And knocked down Reggie Johnson twice and was equally able with BOTH HANDS

Roy is P4P the best puncher ever

Then you'd be lying to yourself for no reason. Cause Roy clearly EXHIBITED that he could end fights with one punch at 160-168.

I used to think Tyson has the most ridiculous fanboys; but perhaps it's Roy Jones on this forum.

People feel like they have to create these narratives about Roy because they can't come to terms that he was just that much better than everyone else at basically everything.

"He's too fast, so he can't be the most powerful too"

"He's too unpredictable, he can't be the most accurate too"

Or even worse people say he was "green at 160" when theres little to no improvement from his 1st step up vs Ricky Stackhouse in 91 weighing 154lbs. But people feel the need to be balanced so they supress his prime when theres nothing in his fights that suggest he wasnt already the best even before he got the chance to fight the best.

Its just like Jordan he's the best shooter, best dunker, defender, rebounder, most athletic, smartest etc etc

People end up not liking Roy Jones because of stupid **** like this.
He can. But he isn't. He isn't even the hardest hitting SMW of his era. Let alone the hardest hitting P4P ever. McClellan was a harder puncher.
Why is he either of these things? I can think of a bunch of fighters better in either of those things, and a few who are actually better at both lol.

Robinson, Louis, Mayweather, Canto, Napoles and Jofre are more accurate, and that's just off the top of my head.

Pep, Conn, Zapata, Marcel, Spinks, Walcott, Foster, Augustus, Pyror, ect ect. are more unpredictable.

Pep and Marcel are actually better at both than Jones.
If he was already peak when he was fighting nobody's in his first 5-10 fights, then all that does is let people say that "so and so beats a prime Jones, then". You pissed on your own chips. Needlessly.

Thing is, Jones was amazing, just not the the best. And certainly not the best LHW.

I bet you can't stand the "Jones was glass chinned" accusations.
