Alright guys, I hear a lot of talk about ATG lists on here, so lets see some please. I haven't made one yet, but I would be really interested to see others, post top ten, top fifty, whatever you like..
1 Sam Langford 2 Harry Greb 3 Sugar Ray Robinson 4 Henry Armstrong 5 Ezzard Charles 6 Roberto Duran 7 Willie Pep 8 Benny Leonard 9 Mickey Walker 10 Archie Moore Changes a little though, sometimes Fitzsimmons or Ali will make #10.
#1. Ray Robinson #2. Sam Langford #3. Harry Greb #4. Henry Armstrong #5. Ezzard Charles #6. Roberto Duran #7. Benny Leonard #8. Mickey Walker #9. Muhammad Ali #10. Willie Pep Just off the top of my head, it changes way too often for me to have a set top 10. Ray Leonard, Gans, Walcott, Moore, Ross, and Whitaker are a little off from top 10 (I also don't rank fighters that had the basis of their careers before 1900, so no Fitz on my list).

Consistency would be the main reason I'd usually place him there. In all honesty though I'm starting to rethink my Ali placing. Charles has a strong case to be ranked ahead of him.
I only had Ali 4 spots behind him, but personally I don't see the case for Ali. Even on consistancy I think Charles edges him, once Charles reached his peak and came back from the service in '46, he only suffered one loss in about 40 fights over a 6 year span and that was the decision to Elmer Ray that many reports claim was a bad decision, he stopped Ray in the rematch and the quality of his opponents at the time was insane as you know. I've recently began to feel that Charles should be securely placed in the top 5, I don't think he has quite the argument for the top spot that Robinson, Langford, Greb, or Armstrong have, but I think he's clearly above everyone else.
Nice to see Chavez so high as he is underrated on this forum but..... You think Lewis is better than Pep or Duran ? Hagler above Leonard p4p when Leonard was smaller & won in the H2H match-up ? To each their own, just glad to see ****ing Sam Langford left off a list for once. :thumbsup
