ATG who didn't win the title?

Povetkin isn't an ATG by any means but he is one of the most accomplished fighters of modern era ('alphabet era') to not win a world title. He was one of the best HWs in the world for a decade. He beat Chagaev, Byrd, Chambers, Takam, Huck, Perez, Duhaupas, Charr, Hammer, Price, Hughie. Only lost to Wladimir and AJ. He's got a better resume than a lot of champions and he was a ****in beast in his prime.

I always thought of him as the current eras Jerry Quarry, without Quarry's popularity of course.

If you can't use foul language I think your vocabulary is going to be severely limited,so do as has been suggested, we wouldn't want to lose out on your insightful comments on fighters .

No one should count that title. Under any circumstances.

 

Maybe not an ATG but very close, Jeff Clarke.

 

The list is very small. Maybe, maybe 3-5 fighters tops, and those are because of extenuating circumstances. By default, if you don't win a title, you're not an ATG. An exception to that would be few and far between.

 

That is more realistic than some offerings!
