    PP,

You seem to be the only one who thinks it a robbery..I had it for Daniel, I know a decent minority didnt but I can safely say that most of those would not feel Wayne got robbed in that fight, he just left his run a little late.

Watch the Fenech fight..he is still as skilled just about but mostly he was a much better fighter physically, who could move a lot better and who didnt fade nearly as bad.

You werent that Irish dude Merchant pushed at the end of the McCullough fight were you?

I don't remember that being a robbery. I think people were surprised it wasn't a UD for Zaragoze, but I may be mistaken.

Maybe if Pavlik had faced Mercado, but since he didn't...

Just have to disagree here. Can see how you think that if you value ineffective aggression, but if you look at what was actually landing, Daniel has a strong case for winning the fight.

I didn't see an inferior version of Zaragoza in there with Fenech. Zaragoza might have got a bit more cagey in his older years, but as a physical specimen he was much better in the Fenech fight, as Rock has said. Without a doubt in my mind, if the Zaragoza of the McCullough fight fought a prime Fenech he would be lucky to survive and would do no better that he did with Fenech when he was physically in his prime. Stoppage after 8 or so rounds would be my prediction.

Fenech is quicker, better at cutting off the ring, pound for pound MUCH stronger, has a better workrate and better accuracy with his punches. In fact, the only area I think Wayne is as good (and in fact he's better) is in the chin department.

WTF? Fenech was great at 122. He was more dominant than Morales and MAB at this weight. McColough shouldn't even be in the conversation
I don't think Hamed had the chin to get past Nelson. He would have bullied Barrera, Morales was too easy to hit. Nelson beats them all.

The only thing Zaragoza did "better" later in his career was cut. Other than that, he had slower hands and inferior stamina.

And last time I checked, Mercado never beat Hopkins and had the **** beaten out of him too just like Pavlik. Hardly a good comparison there.

LOL, you mean aside from the fact that Fenech can punch like a muthaf*cker, whereas McCullough's punches could barely crack an egg?? :patsch

Juan LaPorte might disagree with you.

Same here, and his crushing comeback KO of Ruelas as well.

On top of that, Barrera has the more embarassing losses as well IMO.

Not even close. Barrera was great, but Azumah was a monster. Even though he fought Fenech to a "draw" the first time(Azumah had the flu), he practically killed Fenech in the rematch in Australia when Fenech was still undefeated. He also practically killed Hall of Famer Wilfredo Gomez. He was ko'd in the 15 round against the greatest featherweight of all time in Salvador Sanchez, even though he was winning on points against the great Sal. If Azumah were ever to fight Hamed in both their primes, Azumah would have been to jail on manslaughter charges because if a shot Kevin Kelley could knock Hamed down 3 times, it's scary to think what the great Azumah would have done to him.
