I voted for Hagler, although I am aware it is mostly because it is one of my favourite fighters.

OK, so what can be said about Hagler? All his losses (and one draw) are either avenged or disputable. Very long title reign, which should be even longer with Antuofermo fight scored correctly.

Someone mentioned that Duran won with SRL, and Hagler lost to him. Well, if someone thinks that winning 1 (and losing badly other two) is really better than losing close and controversial decision... it is up to one's opinion. But maybe, just for clarity, we should compare rather their fights against other fighters, like Hearns?

Do not worry, I know when I am biased.

Considering Duran fought somewhat close with Hagler at MW. I think that tells you the answer.

About the same in their own divisions, but P4P Duran by quite a few spots.

Some times people rate belts in different divisions higher than dominating a solid division for some reason, that I don't agree with esp' these days with so many belts/divisions around and with some fighters drying out a fair bit. But Duran did both so he is at the top of the pile.

Great wins at LW,WW and MW, might have the best win ever in beating Leonard.

Duran is one of the best ever and I cannot wait for my carrer set to arrive (a few days).

then i think you are one of the few. i thnik no sain person can deny that p4p duran is better if you only look at achievements duran is also better. if you look at the quality of beaten opponents duran also wins.

just fighting a prime Hagler puts Duran way higher than he would otherwise be. Add the win over Leonard and Cuevas which gives him more credibility. Nevertheless, Hagler is the best fighter of my lifetime, even higher than Roy Jones

    Hagler
    Duran
    Jones

    all in the top ten

People keep saying Duran yet Hagler's votes keep piling up as well. Apparently these people dont have an actual reason but vote regardless.

Both were great fighters but Duran ranks head and shoulders over Hagler in skills, accomplishments and historical significance.
