ATG: Who Ranks Higher? Erik Morales or Tito Trinidad? Two fighters who is very much out of their prime in their early 30s.
I think Erik Morales landmark victories over great, prime opposition in Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera are better than that of anything on Trinidad's resume. They're both 3 divisional champions, who exercised a similar level of longevity. Erik would have the edge in longevity too, I feel.
True, Morales may be the only non-heavy ATG fighter never to be in the top 5 of p4p in his career. Such an underrated fighter in his prime.
Most likely, I'm almost certain Asero referred to Boxrec for his annual ratings. Care to answer the thread question mate?
Ive Tito by a couple of spots...but I wont argue with someone that sees it the other way. Probably because Im a fan of Tito I lean towards him.
Trinidad granted a lot of fighters their first losses. DLH, and Vargas comes to mind. Plus he was exciting to watch. I think Hopkins was afraid to grant him a rematch. That really messed with his mind. Dont know about their ATGreatness, but I liked tito over Morales
Thats why he retired the first time, cause Hopkins wouldnt grant him a rematch. Tito would call him out, and get denied. He went 12 hard rounds with Hopkins. Hopkins had to fight an absolute perfect fight in order to beat tito. Its not like he lost like that ***** DLH, he was deserving of an immediate rematch. I dont think Hopkins had it in him to duplicate that performance once again.
Tito's ko power carried into middle weight and hopkins knew this. Why else you think Joppy only lasted 4 rounds with Tito, and Hopkins had to decision him?
