Well, don't you think Fenech's performance in the 1st Nelson fight acquits him of the loss? Well, not erase it completely but certainly shows what a great fighter he was. He may have been stopped in their 2nd affair but looked brilliant in the first match and unlucky to get a Draw.

Beat a past-prime Zarate as well, who was in better shape than Chavez when Tszyu beat him.

 

Darch would need to do a little more than that still to eclipse Fenech IMO.

Also, take into account Fenech's hand problems. He could've even more dominant, but had to completely stop throwing powerful punches (not power punches, he still threw hooks obviously) which would've made his swarming style easier to counter. I'm sure if he could've kept his power with him he would've been even more succesful.

Anyway, he recently avenged the Nelson loss

 

Vic is a long way off both for mine...Jeff I reckon is a better fighter overall then Kostya and I dont quite consider that a prime loss for Jeff, seeing as though he was not at his best weight and he had already had one retirement. Whereas Kostya lost during his and brutally.

They did fight 3 times mate...the score is 1-1-1...Most see it as Fenech 2-1.

 

There was no demand for a trilogy because Fenech faded very quickly. Once he was past his prime it became really noticeable.

 

Exactly what I'm saying. Its clearly evident on film. Psychologically he never recovered from being robbed and receiving that draw. His punch resistance seemed to disappear overnight. All the weight draining over the course of his career (I've met and seen Fenech, there is no way he is even close to being a bantamweight) probably caught up with him.
