    This is not even close.
One is a guy who along with skills brings excitement to all his fights. Even when he didnt need to he gave us drama. An example of that would be the 12th round of the first Pac fight. You know if that was PBF in there he would have ran the entire 12th round to protect that '0' and not take any risk.

PBF is great at what he does but he will never be considered great due to accusations of ducking, cherry picking and lack of excitement. I really do think he will end up as a Calzaghe type of fighter in the long run. We will say he had skills and all that but we wont say he was great.

With Morales we already say he is great and the dudes not even retired yet.

Morales is the closest you can get to a perfect fighter. He competed at a high level while giving his fans their moneys worth EVERY SINGLE TIME.

    Skills, consistency and excitement.
PBF only has 2 of those 3.

If ATG is based on skills alone floyd.
If ATG is based on skills and resume, its morales. Who has floyd fought in there prime to justify ATG? Not mosley, oscar, jmm. His best win is probably hatton. If you dont count hatton since he was up 147 then its judah.

Floyds resume is deeper then Morales. Floyd didnt need to be gifted a 4th title. Floyd won 5 legit divisional titles.

Objectively, I vote Mayweather, even though I loathe the ****, and much prefer Morales.

Mayweather's longevity, peak ability and accomplishments give him a clear edge, even though you could argue one way or the other who has the stronger resume.

Morales definitely has two wins significantly better than any Mayweather has ever achieved (Pacquiao 1 and Barrera 1), but that in itself is not enough to say Morales was the greater fighter.

On balance, it's Mayweather by a clear margin.

    Skills consistency and excitement.

Maybe you should have dropped out of school to sell crack. Its the last damn sentence on my post.

Like i said PBF only posesses 2 of the 3 which puts Morales ahead.

Floyd Mayweather by a clear and fairly wide margin. But Morales will always be more cherished by the hardcore.

Level of opposition is much more important than excitement when ranking a fighter all-time.

Excitement is something you would resort to if you were comparing two guys and you were desperately deadlocked as to who should be ranked higher. Doesn't really fall into the criteria for ranking someone all-time.

Excitement isn't something I'd ever resort to, under any circumstances. Has absolutely zero to do with greatness in any way, shape or form, even if the fighters are hopelessly deadlocked, IMO.

Money is an ATG. Morales sucks, you see him get his face all messed up against that can from mexico? Money is 42-0, never even been knocked down. Morales got knocked out by poochiao twice, that alone says he's garbage! Morales shouldnt even be a 1st ballot hall of famer IMO

Is EM a top 3 or 4 fighter of this era? I've been waiting on someone to answer this question but they won't because it blows up their embarrassing argument.:deal

I agree. I was just trying to point out why his criteria for ranking a fighter are wrong.

are the clear top 4 of the 90s/00s crossover period (since the decline of Whitaker, Chavez and Holyfield in the mid 90s). Some would argue Lennox Lewis and/or Oscar De La Hoya should be added to make it a clear top 5/6.
