True. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen people on here say guys like Winky Wright and Pernell Whitaker were boring, despite the fact they both threw hundreds upon hundreds of punches per fight and never stopped trying to dominate using skills. Two of my favourite fighters to watch, yet the majority seem to think they were both very dull. Excitement is extremely subjective, more so than most other factors.

I wasn't listing them in order, just saying those four are the top four IMO. :good

I agree the amount of hate and underrating of Winky Wright based on his style is flat out sickening.

    Thats a fair point.

The theater I was at was about 50/50 between those who wanted Ortiz to win and those who wanted Mayweather. But we were all rooting for Morales. And I think I got a boner explaining to my brother the badassery of Morales switching southpaw against Pacquiao in the 12th. Him being a UFC fan.

Deeper? Are you adding non-prime fighters to the list, like Mosley, JMM, and Oscar? You take out the fighters who were not in there prime anymore and what do you got? I have no doubt skill wise Floyd is ATG, but his resume doesnt match. RJjr, hopkins, oscar, SRL, Ali, Morales, Barrera, etc have fought the best out there and have a great resume. Does Larry holmes become ATG because he beat Ali?

I put Floyd in my top 35 and Erik around 45...

I believe Floyd will be known as the greater fighter consensuly in the next year or two if he isn't already...guy is flawless in the ring and fights the best guys out there..Plus the guys he fights are coming off nice wins.

Erik is a beast...Top 45 IMO and Top 50 on a lot of lists...I just think Floyd has that slight edge in talent, plus he is arguably the GOAT AT 130LBS.

Its a toss up but then again why is PBF a sure top 3 or 4.
Hell the best fighter he fought this decade was DLH who was past it and Castillo who while a great fighter had always been limited and as i see it he split 1 of those 2 with him.

Ha blow up in an embarrasing argument. Morales fought everyone there was to fight in or around his weight class. PBF has made a career of cherry picking fighters.

You probably think Sven Ottke is the GOAT then.

Negative...this is your opinion...The discussion is about "WHAT IS"...

I'd say, when Floyd gets a little older, the numbers will be much more wide spread and not so close my man...

Floyd's resume is pretty good...Your opinion of the number 3 in the world at the time, Shane Mosley does not matter when...SHANE WAS RANKED HIGHER THAN ANYONE OUT THEIR NOT NAMED MAYWEATHER OR PACQUIAO WHEN FLOYD FOUGHT HIM:deal

SHANE IS A GOOD WIN....YOUR OPINION IS NOT FACT THOUGH...:deal

    Margarito, Cotto, PW, Martinez

Those are all guys that were the best out there at one point during his "reign" and still are yet he failed to fight them.

Negative..your opinion is that the best fighter he fought was Oscar..that doesn't make him the best really..

ACTUALLY THE HIGHEST RANKED FIGHTER HE BEAT WAS THE NUMBER 3 IN THE WORLD AND NUMBER 2 RANKED WW IN THE WORLD IN SHANE MOSLEY:deal
