Morales is one of my favorite fighter of all time, but the answer here is Mayweather. Both will retire as ATG, but Mayweather will be talked about as one of the 20 best fighters ever when he'll retire.

Negative..PW AND MARTINEZ SHOULD NOT BE ON THIS LIST..NEITHER SHOULD MARGARITO..

    U CAN MAKE A CASE FOR COTTO.:deal

THE OTHERS HAVE VALID REASONS AS TO WHY THEY DIDNT HAPPEN...

TONY HAD THE WBC IN 06?:huh LAST I CHECKED FLOYD WAS LOYAL TO THE WBC.:deal

    SERGIO MARTINEZ WAS A 147LB FIGHTER IN 2006-2011?:think DAMN I DIDN'T KNOW THAT..THOUGHT HE FOUGHT AT 54 AND 60..

Sergio did not have the big name till he knocked PW in the 2nd fight..try again there.

LMFAO..PAUL WILLIAMS:patsch...MAN..Lemm school you right quick..After Floyd fought Oscar PW was scheduled to face Tony..NOT TO MENTION PW WAS STILL BUILDING HIS NAME.....FLOYD TOOK THE MONEY FIGHT WITH HATTON ...NOW I CAN SEE YOU SAYING HE DUCKED COTTO AT THIS TIME:thumbsupI ADMIT THATS A FAIR ARGUMENT...BUT PAUL..LMFAO...

GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU COME TO THE DEBATE:deal

Now back to thread topic as this is for another debate in another thread.

Oscar said mosley was old, along with himself, as well as JMM the lightweight, so its not just my opinion. The klitchkos fought all the #1's and the 2,3 ,4,5's out there and beat them all is he the better then Ali? Sure he was #3, but he's still 38y/old.

ok thats nice...THAT 38 YEAR OLD MOSLEY WAS RANKED HIGHER THAN ALL THE 22 YEAR OLDS AND 23 YEAR OLDS AND 24 YEAR OLDS ETC ETC..

38 OR NOT....THE GUY WAS EXPECTED TO GET MURDERED IN HIS PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE BUT LOOKED BETTER THAN EVER:deal

Again, he was the 3rd best fighter in the world at the time (Pac was at 1 and Floyd at 2) AND HE WAS RANKED 2 IN THE WW DIVISION (WAS AT THE 1 SPOT BUT PAC TOOK IT WHEN HE BEAT COTTO)..

So yea..Pac did not want to test...AFTER THE MARQUEZ FIGHT MOST FANS CLAIMED FLOYD WAS TOO SCARED TO FIGHT SHANE TOO....THEN AS SOON AS THE FIGHT IS SIGNED..THE VIEW CHANGES:huh

BUT YEA MAN THIS DEBATE IS ELSEWHERE..GET BACK ON THE THREAD TOPIC BRO:hat

Greatness also means winning. Yeah he fought them but he lost to them as well, that's a measure.1-2 with MAB 1-2 with Pac some questionable gifts eariler a loss to Raheem. There is no way you can sit here with a straight face and tell me EM is top 3 or 4 fighter if the era. Now way! How many years was EM P4P #1 or even in the top 3 P4P? He was never in his era seen as the best boxer in the sport period.:deal Guys like PBF, Hopkins, RJJ, Pac and hell even Oscar outshinned him. I won't even get into skills and H2H because PBF takes that all the way.

Even Floyd senior has faced better competition than fraud. Morales > fraud

If both retire NOW then it will be Morales... why ? because Mayweather would not have fought Pacquiao & that is completely unacceptable considering what is at stake in that fight... Erik fought everybody he was meant to & that is the definition of a fighter.

Such as Maidana ???... I could rest my case here with that but.....

Morales already beat Maidana for an interim title (never got the verdict tho, the usual in boxing) so was fully deserving of this title shot, I accept Cano was not the best opponent but Morales was willing & ready to face Lucas Matthyse, you cannot expect Morales to give up his dream of a 4th title & pull out because his opponent gets switched, he would have fought anyone for that title.

I have to agree with mayweather...he didnt have to go off on larry merchant like that but its the truth...he will never get a fair shake and his accomplishment are diluted by people who hate him or are biased...both of these guys imo are top 30 all time greats but mayweather has the better overall resume, morales has the best single win but based on mayweathers skill ability in the ring and having beaten more titlists and champs he gets my vote...EM isnt far behind but look at it this way....Mayweather beat a HOFer to win his first title less than two years pro n dominated him....in 42 fights 16 wins were beating former or future champs which is over a third of his total fights, as much as people bash who he fights idk to many fighters who can say that
