This is a troll thread. Some of you were serious about Morales being greater too. Troll thread now. Barerra is greater than Floyd too. Who else, Marquez, McCullough, Hamed, the list goes on.

Morales. Its a no brainer imo. He has by far more career defining wins over prime HOFers. Floyd has none. Anyone that ranks Floyd higher is ranking him based on his talent and not his accomplishments (although he is accomplished, his resume just doesnt stack up to EM).

I voted Mayweather, I simply think that the best version of him beats the best version of Morales.

I personally take head-to-head very seriously with my rankings, the good old "eye test" means more to me that some ambiguous "legacy" or whatever. Good ole fashioned "for real, who do you think would win at their best"...obviously they never fought and never will so it's all arbitrary at some point.

I also tend to lean to the slick boxers or boxer punchers, over the guys that were known for "wars"...that's just my personal pref.

I understand why people hate Mayweather...but I have an immense respect for his style and ring IQ, it's hard to imagine him getting "pummeled", so it's hard for me to see someone like Morales beating him. Not to say Morales can't adapt, but the style and kind of fight that he is known for, and the style that I'm guessing many are imaging him beating Mayweather with in there heads, probably isn't how a fight between them would playout.

Morales is an ATG, Mayweather is an ATG, no disrespect is warranted for either man.

One thing I will definitely concede : Mayweather NEEDS to fight Pacquiao and win to truly cement his legacy amongst the mainstream consciousness.

I'm a believer, but it's obvious that most people aren't.

I'm not sure if he wants to do that, or if he even cares, but I personally feel that his skills are amongst some of the best and it would be a shame if he never turned the general population into believers.

If he beats Pacquiao, all of these theories and accusations of dodging other people (Whether it be Morales or Cotto or ****ing Amir Khan) disappear in an instance, nobody would be able to credibly bring this **** up again.

If he loses....dear lord in heaven.

No, just as a win against Pac creates a massive surge in his legacy in the mainstream, a loss tarnishes him forever.

One things for certain, if they do fight, Pacmans going to have to be in tip top physical condition, so you need to get off his balls now because the last thing he'll need is aches and pains when he fights Mayweather.

The only way both their legacies rise, is probly if Floyd wins by very close decision. If Floyd loses decisively/ko people are gonna talk **** and say Floyd lost when he finally stepped up in class. That's the danger of having your legacy riding on an 0. If Floyd wins its easier to make excuses for Pac than it is for Floyd honestly

Rather predictably, it turns out that:

But rather than just allow you continue as such a dim, misguided individual, I will point out your failure in the hope that you don't embarrass yourself again like this in the future. :good

The entire post I was responding to was thus:

Now, where does this mention "
    This content is protected
    "? :think

    Anywhere?

Nope. The person I was responding to made a post using a statistic and nothing else in his argument that Morales was greater than Mayweather.

Therefore, this was my (logical) response:

Your second post further underlined the fact that somehow, you did not understand my very simple post and point.

 Do you not understand the difference between a comparison and an analogy? Do you not understand the difference between a record in statistic form, and a record expressed in the form of discussion of its content?

Asero made no reference whatsoever to the substance or content of Morales's record. He relied purely on a numerical statistic... crucially, a numerical statistic which can be equalled by fighters as inferior as Valuev and Chavez Jr.

Thus, if we argue in statistics only, Valuev and Chavez Jr are the equal of Morales.

    That's what makes this:

such a feeble, reductive, pointless post. :patsch

If Asero believes Morales is greater, he should be discussing the substance and content of Morales's record... but he wasn't doing so.

This was my point. Which anyone with at least one functioning brain cell could clearly see and interpret in a way that you failed miserably to do.

floyd is THE most hated fighter on ESB
morales is one the most LOVED fighters on esb

you could argue if everyone was honest and not blinded by hate, floyd would run away with this poll
