a simple google search of top 50 lists made since 2009 is all it takes to see this.

this board is full of people who make an effort to discredit floyd every opportunity they get so you'll never get a legit representation in polls on here regarding him. i trust the experts who write for real publications and popular media over *******s on esb.

They only have a couple of opponents in common-
    Jesus Chavez
    Carlos Hernandez
Who were both solid yet dominated by Floyd and Erik.

Floyd and Erik both captured their first world titles from solid champions at the tail end of their careers, Hernandez and Zaragoza. Floyd has a very solid and decisive win over Corrales, while Erik has a near great win over Barrera though not as decisive.

Morales was the only one to put the dent in rising star Pacquiao's career, who is currently widely considered Floyd's biggest threat and has yet to fight.
Floyd's career scaled well through his later years, beating Hatton, DLH, Mosley; Morales scaled off, losing to Raheem, Diaz, Maidana.

Morales is praised for taking on the toughest challenges and winning while incurring a few losses, Floyd has given outright schoolings to opponents of mid-upper level caliber and maintains his 0 while being criticized of not always opting for the elite.

Of late, old washed-up Morales came back in a losing but close and stunning performance against the man who made the young hungry lion who just fought Floyd quit.

    It's pretty damn close.

This :deal. Floyd is at best top 50, at worst top 60. Morales is at best top 60, at worst top 70.

Floyd beat 2 ATGs in de la Hoya and Mosley.
Morales beat 2 ATGs in Barrera and Pacquiao.

Barrera and Pacquiao are greater than the version of ODLH and Mosley that floyd fought

I say Floyd but this is an interesting question given that Morales has the better set of top wins.....

    Morales has better wins.

However, Floyd has different legacy aspects in which he is better than Morales: undefeated, seems almost perfect h2h, constant. He also has pretty decent wins.

When you consider all the factors, you know that Floyd Mayweather is the better fighter.

I know I keep coming back waiting to see Morales pull away because this is really a popularity contest, but it is neck and neck.

One of the most loved fighters vs the most disliked fighter . . . really it shouldn't be close!

    PBF is higher BTW;)
