Its close, but right now have to give it to Morales. Once Floyd beats Pacman or Sergio maybe slightly ahead. Floyd beats both definitely ahead of Morales.

It is truly astonishing how many clueless fans that we have that hate Floyd. Morales will never be ranked higher than Floyd pfp or all time EVER. Have fun with this poll though.

So we're only going to count victories that were clear-cut? Fair enough. We'll go ahead and disregard Floyd's victory over Jose Luis Castillo.

Mayweather "tried" to fight Naseem Hamed? Completely and utterly irrelevant. I don't consider Floyd's wins over an aging De La Hoya, the always limited Diego Corrales, and front runner Zab Judah to be anywhere close to Morales top shelf victories.

I voted for Floyd Mayweather Jr. I consider him to be a greater fighter than Erik Morales, but it's not based on a superior win column, it's for the reasons you've just outlined. Dominance, consistancy, and Floyd does have a fairly good resume by contemporary standards, it's just us Boxing fans probably expected more from a guy with his talent and self-promotion.

Floyd is a coulda shoulda, EM is a been there done that. That counts for a lot to me. You can say Floyd would have beaten this guy, would have outskilled that guy, but he didn't. He didn't want the tough fights after his LW days, and you don't KNOW what would have happened. Maybe Margo's pressure gets to him and he cracks. Maybe he can't take Cotto's power shots all night. Maybe he can't really hurt a true WW or Jr. WW unless it's a sucker punch. With Mayweather you're just guessing how he does against ATG fighters. With Morales you KNOW, and I'm picking EM (pbuh).

Nope ******. Floyds resume is better. He beat Mosley who beat Margarito. He beat Hatton who was rated number 8 P4P. He beat Oscar De La Hoya at 154lbs is 5th weight class, a better fighter then either Margarito or cotto. He beat Victor Ortiz who was the 3rd rated WW in the world.

And that adds to the fact that Floyd was already considered the greatest SFW ever.

The only thing with Morales you know is he can beat Barrera and Pacquiao once each if given 6 tries.

Mayweather is 18-0 against World Champions. 7 time world titlest in 5 weight classes. Should be 8 if he wanted Mosley's belt.

    Morales has nothing on that.

    :deal

They talk about the pac win yet fail to talk about morales losing to Raheem:blood

No way in hell does a guy with 7 losses better than floyd mayweather jr.

When was the last time morales was p4p number 1?

Like I said, Im seriously considering whoever picked Morales to put on my ignore. Mayweather has been considered one of the greatest fighters of his generation and all time. Mayweather is beating up 24 year old welterweight champions, Morales is beating up tomato cans for a rigged 4th belt. No comparison to who is the greater fighter

But like I said, black fighters have to accomplish way more to get the same level of respect of other fighters. I've seen the same stupid threads comparing JCC and ROy Jones Jr.

Has nothing to do with that dip ****, ever think of entertainment value?
Some people dont like spending 70$ to watch someone win a boring UD or win Via sucker punch!

Honestly floyd is the better fighter but I voted morales because he was also great during his prime and he actually likes to engage!

Sugar ray robinson had over 200 fights, try again :deal

Morales only now became a 4 weight champion from some corrupt politics, in this time he has lost 7 ****ing times. And you think he better than floyd

Mosley was shot, Hatton is less than half of Barrera, ODLH was shot and Ortiz isn't on the level of Cotto, Margarito or Clottey. And you know it.

He lost to MAB? Hey that happens sometimes when you fight ATG fighters. Floyd is too concerned with keeping his all-important 0, so at least you can rest easy knowing he won't be getting beat by guys like MAB and Pac.
