ATG: Who Ranks Higher, Floyd Mayweather Jr or Erik Morales?

ATG rankings isn't just about wins, it's also about H2H ability. I'm sorry but Floyd is clearly higher than Morales.

 

poll is irrelevant as many people are blinded by their hate on floyd. But cmon man, he is a warrior but he lost decisively against ****in the great raheem.

 

and did anybody forgot about that bottle throwin incident when he lost against barrera. You guys might think it was moral and classy.

 

The hate is amazing. Love Morales, but it's not even close. Mayweather.

 

Floyd's resume isn't on par with Pac but it's not that bad, especially when you consider his last two outings. But more importantly, his H2H abilites and skill level are amongst the best ever.

Hmmm.

They are about the same age. Floyd undefeated, still fighting super fights. Floyd the highest paid boxer on the planet, still.

Hard to say.

 

This is where ATG rankings are a joke sometimes. Because if you are listing the 100 best fighters of ALL TIME, you have to be very selective. Just on top of my head, how many ATGs fought the last decade? Let's see:

Floyd
Hopkins
Jones
Calzaghe
Barrera
Morales
JMM
Toney
Holyfield
Lewis
Klit brothers
Winky
DLH
Mosley
Cotto
Tsyzu
and etc,

See where i'm going with this? If you have Morales higher than Floyd, what the heck does your list look like because a lot of guys in boxing history are greater than Morales. I think you could make a real case that Floyd defnitely belongs somewhere in the top 40-50. But Morales? Come on.

 

Floyd and thats no disrespect to Morales. I think Morales has way more heart and in his prime was one of the best. Floyd is just the best I ever seen and his resume is a little bit better.
