ATG: Who Ranks Higher, Floyd Mayweather Jr or Erik Morales?

Floyd doesnt have wars with guys like Kelley, Chi, Ayala, McCollough, Hernandez, Jones ect.


He dominates them.


For instance, Mayweather and Morales have 2 common opponents. Chavez and Hernandez. Mayweather dominated both. Dominated Hernandez with a broken hand. Infact was smacking Hernandez on the head so much he broke his hand. Morales on the other hand, well not domination.​

 

so barrera isnt better than corrales or castillo? and morales beat both barrera and jones anyway (admittedly faded jones but he would have beaten jones at any time)

This is the thing I don't get, since when did having wars with inferior opposition get you bonus points?

If you ask has his career been better I would easily say yes. In regards to head to head at an sufficient weightclass who would win I would say barrera would struggle with both castillo and a taller corrales.

oh ye i think MAB would have issues with corrales especially :good but i think if we're comparing the win for morales over MAB and the win for floyd over Corrales to see who gets more "atg points" its going to morales on this one. i think floyds a great fighter possibly the greatest of this generation, but we'll never know because he hasn't tested himself nearly enough, and it hurts his standings in peoples eyes, theres still a lot of time for him though, but im worried he isnt bothered

 

The biggest argument against Floyd is that he has not beaten any prime ATG. To be considered an elite ATG or to be placed high in an ATG list, you have to have beaten other ATGs in their prime or close to their prime. However, his overall body of work is greater than Morales' body of work.

No one has ever been expected to challenge mayweather, this is the problem, mayweather is not an inferior fighter like MAB and MORALES.

 

Thats the whole point moron. We've already said pages back that Morales 2 best wins are better then Floyds 2 best wins. But Floyd has the deeper resume, beaten more champions, dominated longer, and was the better skilled, as to why he is the greater ATG.


Again this isnt a hard concept to understand. Here I'll make it simple for your small brain. Ken Norton victory over Ali is better then anything Lennox Lewis has ever done. Is Ken Norton a greater ATG then Lewis?
