Well thought out argument, though I disagree. Of all 80 of Foreman's fights, roughly only a dozen ever came against top 10 caliber guys- Lennox, despite fighting half as many fights, fought considerably more and did better in his higher class fights than George did overall. Lennox was more likely to get knocked out, but he also fought a higher caliber of fighter more regularly and was less likely to get outboxed at almost any stage of his career than George was. It also bothers me that he chose to fight Crawford Grimsley (best known for being on the business end of the fastest heavyweight KO in history) instead of giving Axel Shulz a rematch after Schulz was robbed, choosing to vacate his title instead. I understand that at that point, George could basically do no wrong and could write his own ticket, but it still just bugged me, especially when I hear others (not you) talking about how George fought everyone. The best points you make are the age related ones, because that's really what put George over the top and made news to people who weren't even boxing fans. Depending on the weight one puts on that, I could see the vote for George. Personally, I voted for Lennox.
