to help us in making our list of top 100 ATG, i think it would be a good idea to make this poll to see where to place these boxers in the ATG list.

i rank Frazier higher than Tyson

hard to say. Frazier was more of a warrior, but Tyson dominated and cleaned out the division of the 1980s pretenders. I think had Mike had to fight Ali and Foreman he might have lost also. He might have beaten Ali the first time if Ali was rusty the same as Frazier did.

Tyson has to ranked higher than Frazier. Tyson was the youngest heavyweight champion ever, Tyson unified the title, Tyson regained the heavyweight championship, and cleaned out the heavyweight division during his first run as champion. To me it's a no-brainer.

Look at it this way, had it been someone else who knocked out the ordinary bunch of stiffs that Tyson did in the 1980's, I dont think nobody would have cared. It was how he won his matches that made him great. Frazier, on any given night, would have CRUSHED Tubbs, Bruno, Williams, Biggs, Thomas, Smith and Berbick. His wins over Chuvalo, Ali, Bonavena, Mathis, Ellis, Stander, all are equal if not superior to any of Tyson's prime wins.

Head to head, I like how Merchant put it once: "Tyson was an inch deep and a mile wide, Frazier was a foot deep and a mile wide." Frazier just had more in him, than Tyson ever did.

Frazier, based on his five year title reign and quality of fighters that he defeated, even thought I feel technically that tyson was much more skilled and would have utterly demoralized "smokin Joe".
