Depends if you mean as a fighter or as a heavyweight. If the former, Holy, if the latter, Lewis.

    you just showed your ignorance
no talking to people like you.
if you think the tyson holyfield beat up was the same as lewis beat up...youre just plain an idiot
sorry but if you are the underdog going into the fight at 9-1 odds, and tyson was holding the belts...how is that the same version that lewis beat?

At HW...it's Lewis hands down. Lewis had 2 bad losses at this weight yes, but how many did Holy have? I could name both Bowe losses, Toney, Ruiz, Moorer :rofl

Lets not forget that Holy only got the belts because a mental and debilitated Tyson surrendered them to Douglas, that Douglas win means NOTHING.

Both Tyson and Holyfield avoided the **** out of Lewis until they had no choice but to fight him, and we all saw what happened there :yep

Much as it pains the haters, Lewis was the best heavy since Holmes, and maybe since Ali. What makes this all the more amusing is that the majority of idiots that are picking Holy are also VITLAY fans, they just can't spot the irony :rofl

Lewis. Beat Evander twice errr once and was a very consistent, long-reigning champ. Holyfield while spectacular at times lacked that long lasting consistency and dominance over the division.

Haye sparks them both though :smoke

It's not the same version that Lewis beat.

But it was still a Tyson far far from his peak. Whereas HOly fans still say either a "near peak Tyson" or "not far from his best Tyson" or "better Tyson than Lewis beat tyson"

So what. Lewis beating Tyson means zero in his HW achievements. It was a money making fight, that really only proved anything to the casual fans that still thought Tyson was the best (and probably still say 'if Mike came back and trained.......).

FAct is, Tyson fought Ruddock in June 01.

Then ONE round v McNeeley in August 05.
3 rounds v Mathis in Dec
    3 rounds v Bruno in March 06
1 v Seldon (the diver) in Sept 06.

Then fought Holy in November 06.

So in 5 1/2 years, he's fought 8 rounds, against 3 bums (1 of which was probably a fix) and a terrified Bruno.

Zero effort required to fight those guys.

HOw the **** does that add up to a Tyson that's even half decent? How do we know how good he was? We don't. Bruno was still fighting the old version of Tyson in his head, he was terrified.

The other fights were jokes. That's what I mean about smoke and mirrors. Those fights proved nothign about Tysons ability, **** the belts, that was all bogus ABC bull**** to do that.

Anyone objective can see those fights did nothing to prepare Tyson to fight Holy, who had been fighting at a consistently high level the whole time Tyson was banged up.

I'm simply saying Tyson in reality achieved nothing post prison of much note. How does HOly beating that Tyson prove Holys greatness? Tyson struggled against Botha in his next fight after the HOly fights.

    Holyfield.

Even tho Lewis is a TOP 20 Heavyweight, He avoided fights and retired with unfinished business.

Holyfield did stay in the game only to support his life and kids and at the same time added pages to his history.

Holyfield unlike Lewis never said NO to a challenge which is why I rate him higher.

And as for the Tyson fights.

The Lewis and Tyson fight had major hype behind it but any logical dude knew Mike had no chance of beating Lewis. MONEY MADE SENSE

Now Holyfield and the Tyson fights.... That was still a Tyson who would make boxers **** bricks and Holyfield still took the challenge.

.Holyfield frustrated Mike and left him with no gameplan, that's a REAL WIN even tho that big ass head did get in the way sometimes  .
