    Casual fan land.
Fights in 3 title fights during "the second best era ever" = "Bit part player."

Casual fan? Good one. We are talking about 20 years ago here. But I still remember who the major players were. And Schultz wasn't one of them.

When Moorer lost to Foreman (and Lewis to McCall at around the same time) those belts went walkabout. It was a joke. Meanwhile the real "major players" were frozen out. I remember a a time when Bruno, Seldon and Botha all held the major titles simultaneously in this "second best era ever".

The major players in the 90s were Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Tyson,... (daylight)... Moorer... Foreman.

You might as well add Akinwande if you are including Schultz.

And I can also tell you that in the 90s we were calling it a poor era. (Obviously in hindsight that was wrong).

Yes. Notice Schulzy beat two of those only to be disgracefully robbed.

...but, either way, went 0-1-1 with Akinwande, in two bouts, one after the other, in Germany.

Actually talks were going on behind the scenes for a Lewis - Ibeabuchi fightgiving Ike one fight first. That call to the lying hooker cancelled that
Foreman said he'd never want to fight Lennox. As for the others they'd have no chance

Well, I'll give you this: I've been chatting on boxing forums since they pretty much began in the 90s. (The olf CBS boxing forum, iirc, was my first). And I've never had this conversation before. So thanks for that.

    Oscar.

Lewis got KTFO too much and would have been destroyed by the Klits if he didn't ***** out.

Who has Tito beat....Fernando Vargas who aint never accomplished sh-t? Ricardo Mayorga who hasn't accomplished sh-t? William Joppy who hasn't accomplished sh-t? I can remember Tito getting a decision over a past prime Whitaker and a gift over Oscar but other than that can you please tell me who he beat that makes him an ATG?

In my mind beating Bernard who had accomplished much at the time he fought Tito would of been the fight to make him an ATG, but last I checked he got KTFO! Winky beat him with a jab....just saying

Foreman? Schulz? Lewis wouldn't have gotten any credit whatsoever for those fights. Schulz has no legacy whatsoever, and Foreman lost every fight against a top level fight in his second career aside from the lucky punch against Moorer. I saw more demand for Foreman vs. Butterbean than Foreman vs. Lewis.

Bowe was doing the avoiding, not Lewis. He dumped his title in the trashcan before he accepted a fight against Lewis.

Wlad didn't hit his prime until after Lewis retired and Manny took him on as a reclamation project. Perhaps if Wlad managed to stay upright during Lennox's reigh there would have been more demand for a fight between them.

You would have been better off leaving these guys off the list of mentioning Ibeabuchi instead. That's the only fight I can think of during the reign of Lewis where I would have wondered about the outcome.

That's funny, I seem to remember him fighting one Klit and unless I saw another fight he wasn't "destroyed" then.

well, if I try to think like some of the more idiotic posters, then it's clearly ODLH. That bum Lewis only held one division championship, ODLH like 5. There you go! :)
