It's debatable. I'm sure Manny will be fighting Berto in the near future and he's a fast Black Afro. Who's out there to improve his legacy other than Gayweather? Should Manny go fight Judah since he's a fast Afro even though he got TKO'd by Clottey who Manny won all 12 rounds against.;)

I'd end my Afro bull**** if he choose to fight Berto to be honest. All the stereotypes that people put of Manny's opponents would go out the window against him. Now Zab :yep screw that

Berto's Haitian!! He's no afro-American! Berto's best win was with Collazo who almost beat him! The same Guy who wins against Collazo & got a gift was Hatton. You know how short does Hatton last with Pac right?

Berto needs to fight Live bodies to be in the mix! Ang Now Berto's scheduled to fight Pac's sparring partner Vic Ortiz! Why fight a 140 pounder???

Just like JMM who wants to fight Pac but fighting only 135 pounder! Pac's campaigning at 147, he's already beaten the top fighters there, Only Floyd escapes! Now Pac's fighting the former top welter in Mosley because the #1 challenger pussied out!

  6. I rank leonard higher. Leonard and duran have the best ranking since Ali.
Question: If manny beats floyd at 147 and martinez at 160 would you rank him above these 2 ?

Such a ******ed thread. The truth is, 2-3 years ago ww was a strong division, now it is weak as ****.

Beating cotto and clottey was impressive, but since then he has made two shockingly bad fights.

If he wants to improve upon his legacy he simply needs to fight competitive fights.

Prime Hearns would ko Margarito badly. Margarito never face a fighter quite like Hearns before.

You say he's not a natural WW, but the reasons given for his increased physical prowess is that he spent alot of his career weight drained and starving himself, if this isn't the case then what would explain his explosive physical growth, and percieved increase in power and explosiveness? He won't go down in weight because he'd have to starve himself to make 140 according to Arrum...so I'm not sure what one would consider his natural weight? Furthermore Pac is slightly passed his "physical prime" from a textbook standpoint so I guess this could could account for the increased weight etc, but being past physical prime would also imply a decrease in physical tools which hasn't occured, sort of atypical in those ways. Either way, just a thought and something to consider going forward.

So he'd rather fight SSM who hasn't won a fight in 2-3 years, as opposed to fight an undefeated World Champion in the same division he "campaigns in"...yet he's beaten the top fighters out there? Cotto, Clottey, Margo are the best fighters out there? They are better than Martinez, PWill, Berto, Bradley, Khan, Alexander, JMM, etc. I'm not trying to **** on Manny at all, I'm just saying, there are really good fighters out there for him to fight.

Both Great fighters and I've enjoyed both of their careers.

Leonard for me is the complete package as a fighter. He had the speed and dazzling skills but also heart, will and had killer instinct - when he has opponents hurt he is vicious.

Manny is a great improved fighter and not as naturally talented as Leonard but is still a great fighter and has obviously achieved a helluva lot.

Pac really is a blast from the past- i will give you that. He looks like he is made of the same stuff they were back in the seventies... but that is only because his competition is not from the same stock as they were when Leonard Herns Duran and hagler were prowling through the boxing ranks. I think Whitaker may have been the last of that breed.

Pac would only be a gatekeeper in the times of Hagler, hearns, duran and leonard, IMO. He has done something special, but his accomplishments should come with an * after them. Beating past prime/weight drained/cheaters/ and the like does sour the experience a bit. Leonard is deff more impressive in all measurable ways than Pac, but Pac is the best we've had in a while!

He has much stiffer competition than Pacroid and from early on.
