    Wrong. Try again.
IMO, Hearns is/was the better fighter....Period.
    (Has **** to do w/Marquez)

I like Pacquaio, Follow & watch all his fight's.

True **** regarding Leonard.... but DLH ? :huh

Oscar is nowhere near the level of SRL, in fame & money, yes but thats it... certainly not in ring ability, not even close.

This is the typical type of poll which should not be done. Active fighters who just won a big fight will get more votes. Hearns has the better career at this point. He beat Cueves and Duran by knockout. outboxed Benitez and Hill and had numerous superfights. It is good Manny gets credit, but you really think beating Hatton compares to anything Hearns has done. Ricky is a good fighter, but Hearns would have stopped him the same way as Pacman did.

The knock on Hearns is losing to Leonard and Hagler but his resume is better than Pacman right now. Marquez is a bit overrated and gave Pacman good fights, Barrera and Morales were older when Pacman fought them. Pacman beat a overrated lightweight champ. Oscar was washed up and Hatton is not that great a fighter. You cannot put Pacman ahead of Hearns who fought legends in a great era. Hearns moved up the same as Pacman and outboxed Virgil Hill 30 pounds above his start at welt. He won a unanimous decision. Virgil is much better than Hatton. No comparison.

they're both in the top 30-35. i'm just not sure who is ahead. it's kinda close between them.

i've noticed though that in these boards many here have a heavy bias for ATG fighters who fought before our time and who we haven't seen actually fight. well, i've been old enough to see hearns fight during his heyday. he lost the big fights he fought against fellow ATGs such as leonard and hagler. he beat a way past prime duran and even devastatingly lost to a lower level fighter in iran barkley during his prime.

Hearns has a Ko over Duran ...outside his best weight.

Manny has beaten 3 ATG's close to their prime(Morales,Barrera, Marquez)

and destructive Ko wins outside his comfort zone against Hatton/Oscar

Marquez is not an atg no matter how you look at it and Morales and Barrera were past their prime. Pacman's best wins are Hatton and Delahoya. Oscar was washed up and Hatton is overrated. No way does Pacman compare to a guy like Hearns who probably has one of the best resumes in boxing history. he fought Cueves,Leonard(2 times), Benitez,Hagler,Duran and Hill. And he fought them when they were all champioins at the weight they were at. Now that is impressive.

Pacman has been overrated the last few months. It happens. But when you guys rate him over Hearns that is when it gets ridiculous. What has Pacman done to warrant him over the first man to win 4 and then 5 titles? A man who was in superfights and wars which were the best ever. Beating Marquez? And Hearns beat Duran. PAcman barely beat Marquez and lost to Morales. Hearns beat Benitez. I think the overrating and nuthugging of Pacman has gone overboard.
