Pacquiao employs strategy, but he didn't outbox Barrera. He outfought him. Too completely different things entirely. As I say, I acknowledge there is strategy utilized for Manny to defeat his opponents. I've never claimed otherwise. He out boxed Hatton for a round and then knocked him spark out. I'll agree with you on this. Hatton is not the calibre of Mosley however, so this fight would not answer my question, regardless. Hatton was undefeated when Mayweather fought him, and styles make fights. It's disapointing that I had to remind you. I never reffered to Pacquiao as a one-dimensional windmiller. You're making stuff up again. I do think he has less Boxing skill than Miguel Cotto, however. :good There is that explanation mark I was talking about. Cringe worthy. :verysad
Arguello's right hand would time Pac eventually down the pipe. First four rounds Pac, catching Arguello sporadically but with most of his punches being picked off or blocked. Five-Six; Arguello's jab is starting to land more frequently. pac doesn't seem to be slowing down. Round Seven: Arguello catches Pac with a left hook, but Pac follows the following right cross. Manny bounces enthusiastically to show everyone he's alright. Round 8; Manny comes roaring back, but is caught with a counter right from Arguello, which stops him briefly. Round 9; During a furious exchange Arguello throws a straight right with hits Manny on the chin and drops him. Manny is stunned! He hasn't been dropped in a very long time. He gets back up and seems composed. Round 10: Manny less happy to trade now. He pushes out a jab looking to create an opening for his famous left but BANG Arguello fells him with a straight right. I'm a massive fan of both, but Arguello would clearly win. Even at 140 IMO.
I think the Arguello that fought at 140lb would have gave most 140lb fighters in history a run for their money. He'd beat Hatton, that left hook counter would spell awful trouble.
Yes, in your conventional reductive mindset, it is two completely different things. However, in reality it is not. David Tua bullrushing John Ruiz and Michael Moorer is not the same thing as Manny Pacquiao executing a clearly thought out strategy. He did this against Barrera, Morales and Hatton. He may not use a shoulder-roll or showboat, but the man is a superb boxer. Barrera and Morales, IMO. And I scored the first Marquez fight for Pacquiao. That fight was no closer than Cotto-Mosley, there was a point or two in either match, though I suppose your typically warped argument would be that because Pacquiao floored Marquez three times he didn't "outbox" Marquez whereas because Cotto didn't drop Mosley he did "outbox" him. What a wonderful world! Hatton was undefeated when Mayweather fought him?? Does this mystical and very convenient myth that an undefeated fighter has some magical aura around him hold more weight than the fact that Hatton fought Floyd at a weight where he was PROVEN to be inferior at, and Pacquiao destroyed him at his favourite and proven best weight?! What a wonderful world Part Deux. You have never used those words, but the implication is clear. Cotto a better boxer?! Lamentable. Once Pacquiao gets ****ing demolished by a B-class fighter his own size like Margarito and taken into deep, dark water by a C-class plodder his own size like Clottey, dig out your ice-skates because hell will have frozen over. :good Yawn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow, McNair is dead, and you have an old fat blow fart C.S.R worshipping Pac fan, and a fruitball, fruit rollup eating Greek god named ***** "Herpmes" Psychopompus still living, and making fun of Nal
The Arguello of the first Pryor fight would beat Manny in a 15-round fight, and probably in a 12-round fight too. Of this I am pretty sure.
Everything is extraordinary in this disease (Tourette Syndrome): the name is ridiculous, its symptoms peculiar, its character equivocal, its cause unknown, its treatment problematical, its side effect's unremitting and its host humorous to say the least... oh how iv missed you nallege'y poo's
Check and see who Arguello fought in the last 7 years of his career, and then check PAc's resume lol... 7 years PAc fans...going on 8!
Despite this lamentable lack of balance in nallege I do not believe that either children or adults throughout the world are permeated by a widespread hostility to ones fellow human being's,it is simply a mere blip of the human genome that nallege came to fruition.. like the third nipple, webbed feet etc
Ranks higher according to what criteria....Alexis fought better opponents so I say Alexis..if they both fought I would still pick Arguello by KO
