dude its not one or the other. Of course Pacquiao's wins are important. Its not like I have to make a choice between only talking about Pacquiao's win over Hatton or only talking about Arguello struggling in his prime. Both topics can be discussed along with many more topics
because for the most part we only see highlights and talk of the great moments for Arguello while for Pacquiao every single fight is dissected since we are seeing it unfold before our eyes. So to a certain extent it puts things into perspective to think "If a prime Pacquiao had been knocked down and won a split decision against a guy like Jose Luis Ramirez, what would I say?"
Even as a well-known Pac obsessive, he is not on Alexis's level just yet. For me Alexis is around 25th of all-time. I think Pac would be around 30-35. A win over Cotto could put Pac alongside the great man.
I just thought it was strange to point it out in response to what I had said. I wasn't dissecting Manny's fights. If I had pointed out beforehand that Manny had been knocked down by a jab against sub-par opposition, I'd understand why you would feel it relevant to mention the knockdown. Have you seen the Ramirez fight? Do you have any frame of reference to that particular moment in the fight at all? For all you know it could be a knockdown in the same way Barrera/Pacquiao round 1 was a knockdown. In any event, we can both agree there are more relevant things to discuss in each of their careers then petty knockdowns.
Arguello. He did not fight stupid "catch weight" fights. He moved up and fought at the divisional limit which Pac is scared to do.
Pac has moved from flyweight to welterweight and back to light-welterweight. Please tell me one single time he has been proven to be scared to fight at the divisional limit. When has this ever happened? You're a ****ing ****** and a joke.
Alexis had a much bigger frame than Manny Pacquiao, so I wouldn't put to much stock in all the catch weight nonsense.
Pac moved up and fought Barrera at the divisional limit. He moved up and fought Morales at the divisional limit. He moved up and fought Diaz at the divisional limit. He moved up and fought Hatton at the divisional limit.
