Harada's wins over Jofre are better than any of Manny's wins.

    Manny Pacquiao.

He's the greatest active fighter today and is hellish in the ring -a difficult style combined with an excellent mentality. His resume has taken off since that 2003 defeat of Barrera -who's a great fighter. He will break the top 20 all-time before he is done. Perhaps higher.

What is so exceptional about his resume since the Barrera fight?

    A DLH corpse?

    A Morales shell?

An arguable loss to Marquez and a close win?

The biggest knock I have on Pac is that I don't think he is a truly exceptional fighter ability wise at any given weight.

He has done well to move between the weights and retain a high level of performance, but I have seen nothing really at any one weight that suggests to me that he belongs that far up the rankings. I tend to think that Marquez, the one prime adversary worth some merit on his resume, is overrated himself, and Pac's struggles with him are indicative of his shortcomings as a fighter.

How for instance can I think that Pac would beat an equivalent sized Julio Cesar Chavez when he's struggling with Marquez?

How can I put Pac above say a Vicente Saldivar when he is getting beaten by Morales?

Pac's resume really is overrated as hell.

Agreed. His one great win in my eyes is against Barrera in the first fight. Even then though, it's not as if we haven't seen Barrera dominated before. Jones put a beating on him before stopping him, and the Barrera that Pac faced was no better than the one Jones faced if we consider that Barrera was probably starting the downswing of his career against Pac (he hadn't quite developed all his boxing skills against Poison).

Just close your eyes, cover your ears and do it..thats seems to be the only way *******s could be coming to the conclusions they do.

Im over it..I hate talking negatively about Pac in any way because he is my favourite active fighter by a mile..But you have to just to try get some of his most ardent fans to get some perspective on him, sad really.

It's sad that you have to resort to talking down Pac when he's your favourite active fighter, but nuthuggers unfortunately force you into such positions.

As an aside, it's also worth mentioning Harada achieved what he did while really lacking in dedication, hence his quick rise through the weights.I often wonder how much longer his prime would have been, or just what he woudl have accomplished had he taken care of his body more.

He really was a phenom.Just a ridiculous talent at his best. The only swarmers to come close since he retired are chang and Pryor imo.Duran too, if he had kept his Buchanan style.

As far as swarmers go, Harada is up there with Armstrong. Both are amazing to watch. Of couse that type of fighter as said before never last long.
