ATG's and HOF fighters since 1980

Very good list. Changes I'd make-

Add to ATG- Salvador Sanchez. 100%. His 10 title fights all came in 1980-82.

Drop from ATG to HOF- Tyson, Holyfield, and Lennox

Raise from HOF to ATG- Ricardo Lopez

Add to HOF- Genaro Hernandez, both Klitschko's, Ivan Calderon, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Nonito Donaire

Call me crazy with listing Donaire, but I would gladly argue that he has accomplished more and is more deserving than many others listed.

... I don't know. Either way, they are above the listed "HOF's" but below everyone else listed as fellow "ATG's," as well as Ricardo Lopez, for me.

 

yeah the line between atg and hof is unclear really- when people consider atg most have top 50, some top 80 or more, but its up to the individual really

 

Lewis is an arguable top 5 HW.

Holyfield top 10.

Tyson as well.

All ATG's.

 

I think of top 50, in which case not all of those listed under ATG's would be in my ATG list, clearly, but for the sake of the thread title...

 

See, I have them like 10, 12, and 19. Sooooo...

Whereas Ricardo Lopez is THE best 105 pounder (with a couple nice 108 fights). Calderon is the second best. Wonjongkam is a top 10 flyweight for sure. I know HW is usually the most or one of the most competitive divisions, but I try to not show glory division bias when possible.

MAB, morales, odlh are all atg. They have done much more than Pryor and more than jmm. Jmm has a win over pac but so does morales, except morales has much better overall resume.

 

Very good list..

Hard to draw the line between ATG which is pretty much made up and Hall of famers.

Edit.. ATG made up meaning subjective, I do believe there is a such thing.
