OP asked who could be competitive with Vitali. Neither Lewis nor Byrd were competitive before Vitali got injured.

I would argue whether or not Lewis was competitive. The score cards were mixed the way I understand it. The score of 4-2 is only a one round swing. No one here can know what would have happened had the fight continued.

Let me make a basketball reference here since we are in March Madness--Back in 94 UK wildcats were losing 68-37 into the 2nd half. UK would go on to outscore LSU 62-27 and win the game. So it doesn't matter that the score was 4-2 after 6. Anything could happen.

But I am trying to make a greater point.....VK has beaten no one to indicate he would beat guys considered ATGs. H2H I agree he would be a problem for anyone.

But boxers aren't judged on what they coulda, woulda, or shoulda done. They are judged by what they actually did do and who they actually beat. VK has not beaten anyone of note to even deserve to be mentioned with the likes of top 10 ATGs.

Cut = injury. As to how it happened - it was caused by a thumb if you must know.

Byrd is 6 ft....he sure as hell hit Vitali enough times.

Chisora is 6'1....Frazier 5'11 1/2 ....yeah those 1 and half inches renders Frazier lol.

He lost to Lewis and Byrd and there's no shame to that, as he was ahead on the scorecards both times. That being said, if he got tagged and cut against a past prime Lewis and if he injured himself against Byrd, why would he run through every ATG without a problem ?

We will never know how they would do, but to be honest hes in a shitty division, he wont even find out if hes the best of his era, the two big fights he had he lost, no matter what happened, lewis beat him, his body (face) couldnt take punnishment and the fight had to be stopped. Its a loss theres no debate on it atall. Vitali is a nice guy, but I just dont rank him with other all time greats, as he came up short when he had the chances to beat other "atgs"
