    Ray Robinson without a doubt. He had skillls and toughness yes but much of his success had to do with blinding speed and quickness both of hand and foot. Agility to glide on his toes, stop on a dime and tear your head from it's shoulders.
    speed kills, oldtimers swear they saw him knock men out going backwards (not possible) speed will make you see things

    I thought of him because he was a decent baseballer, also... I'm sure he slid into base with spikes up a la The Georgia Peach.
