It's possibly the regional stage of the Golden Gloves in that region. The progression of the tournament goes from LBC-Regional-National. So it would mean he won his LBC (local) and then competed at the Regional Golden Gloves. For example, if I did the same, I would be Rocky Mountain Golden Gloves champion; and would represent the Rocky Mountain region at the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions, which is held annually and is what most people think of when they think of the Golden Gloves tournament.

Thanks, I know of some of those. Big one for New York State is Empire State Games. The Adirondaks is such a desolate area not too much boxing goes on there. If a tournament does take place there, it has to draw from Albany and New York City area.

I think in regards to Atlas he got caught lying, in my opinion. D'Amato did occasionally send his fighters, who he gave a lot of experiance to his fighters by having them spar against boxers from gyms in New York, mostly one in the Bronx. Then he would match them with small town kids from upstate, to give them an edge. I had always heard that Teddy's career was very limited, less than 5 or 6 fights, tops. It has grown over the years though. I had some idiot insisting to me that Atlas was once top pro.

His back is an excuse. Nothing wrong with is back. He’s been training boxers for 45 years. Holding pads. Demonstrating uppercuts. He’s the one with the fear and excuses.

I am from Winnipeg and was at that fight in 2003. According to sugar Ray Leonard, Donny hit like a mule. I used to make up some bull**** that our parliament building had Donny Lalonde on top of it lol, that's where he got his name from. A nice story but probably not true, just something to tell the shuttle bus riders on the way from portage to York Ave. According to Donny, the punch that almost ruined his career was SRL. It caught him in the Adams apple. Donny was a great ambassador for the sport. I think he used to read stories to school students, and all that golden boy stuff was just a facade, underneath the glitz and the glam beat a heart of an assassin.

Btw isn't there a category called "conspiracy or contempt to commit murder?" If so, wouldn't this atlas, being a prosecutor s dream?
