I do not like Atlas, but Atlas is right about Sauerland!

    Teddy is a complete loon.

This is a guy who took a gun to a young Mike Tyson, threatening to kill him.

Then he took a gun looking for Donnie Lalonde with intent to kill him.

I hope the metal detectors are working if Teddy decides to get on a plane to Russia to discuss the situation.

Teddy is right about Sauerland, but Sauerland is also right about Teddy.

Ideally Povetkin would be better off without both of these clowns...reminds me of when Don King had his grubby hands on Tomasz Adamek's career...sheesh!

At least Sauraland got Povetkin somewhere. Atlas destroyed all that, yet he is deflecting blame to guy who had Povetkin moving along, no problems with fighter, trainer, or management, and lined up for title shot. Atlas ****s it all up, then calls guy a punk! Atla sresume is 25 years of name calling and accusations, no major accomplishments as trainer. Michael Moorer--Atlas got break of his life landing fighter everyone wanted, one who was already developed. And what happened? He ****ed him up too. Besides his grandstanding antics in corner, he sprea dword that Moorer was 'Weak mentally, unsure of self, in need of confidence.." Sound familiar?

A 50 year old tough-as-nails alcoholic ex-boxer Teddy Atlas vs. a 30 year old ivy-league educated $500 suit wearing Kalle Sauerland in a bar fight, who do pick?

I think that covers it nicely.

No doubt Povetkin's career has horribly stalled in recent years, when it looked quite promising when he was beating the likes of Donald and Chambers.

Atlas tough as nails?? Not really. For example, he kept telling Cus that he could not go into Golden Gloves cause back hurt. THen he would be jumping around doing all of moves, Cus would sugges tgloves bout for next year, all of a sudden Atlas would start cringing, and would follow up by saying that night 'My back, it's killing me again." Atlas had soem easy amater fights, but would not step up. He has had a few street fights, and will go off his rocker sometimes, but he will back down too, in snaeky way.. Like when he made/faked like he was going to start fight with Foreman, he made sure people were around so he could do his famous 'Don't hold me back!!!" routine.

I don' t know anything about Saurland, what' s his story? For peopl ewho think he is bad Povetkin, I was wondering why. He did good job with him, from what I see. His biggest **** -up seems to be not blocking Atlas from being hired!

I doubt the contract was really so bad. After all, Sauerland is interested in making $$$ so they have no business in making a ridiculous contract which makes a fighter uninterested in continuing his career. It is better to take 50% from a championship fight purse than even 100% from all fights Povetkin had after Chambers combined.

I know people have a lot of respect for Teddy Atlas but to me he comes off a stubborn to the point of being stupid. He may know his **** when it comes to in-the-ring issues but that is just how I see it.

    He probably is, but........

Povetkin can thank Teddy for wasting his time, and an opportunity to face a Klit. :-(
