I think Teddy is getting some money off of the bookies for these predictions against Manny to even out the betting public. They will lose a lot of money if the betting only goes one way (If Pac wins) so they try to even it out by having people like Teddy give some sort of prediction that will entice people to bet on Pac's opponent.
Speaking of the Clottey fight, I watched it again a couple of days ago. I was concerned with how often he landed the right hand, he couldn't miss with it for the most part.
It's hard to tell from his 1 fight since coming back how much of the old Margarito is still left. If he's got most of his punch resistance, tenacity and power still, then he's got a great shot alright. I wouldn't be brave enough to pick against Pacquiao though, he's made me look like a fool too much already.
You obviously know nothing about betting. The only time the sportsbooks lose money is when large amounts of cash comes in at the last minute and the lines cannot readily be adjusted. The betting public by and large sets the closing line. I think that this fight will eventually go off at Manny-450 and Margo +300. I have already placed my bet at +450 with Margo and will probably go more. Regarding fights, the heavy money does not come in until the last minute. Atlas is extremely intelligent regarding the fight game but to my recollection he generally gets his picks wrong.
Atlas is a scumbag. He lied about non-existent emails. You really think that Team Mayweather would stay mum if such emails were in circulation? :bbb
**** Teddy Atlas. He's a *****. If Hatton was shot and not a big puncher, then why didn't he think this when he predicted Hatton to beat Pacquiao?
