Oscar wasn't 100% prime vs. mayweather. He was probably 80% and this fight took place well after Oscars actual prime.

I completely agree Floyd struggled though. Oscar did a great job, but as always ran out of steam the last 1/3 of the fight and gave it away

You can't stay champion emeritus forever. He's been out of the ring nearly two years.

Yea, he did struggle. Oscar was ahead on points after 8-9 rounds and even Manny Stewart said if Floyd doesn't pick it up and start to stand his ground, instead of backing off and trying to counter, he's going to lose the fight. For Oscar not being prime he looked pretty damn good vs. the P4P best.

He didn't give **** away PBF adjusted took Oscar's jab away landed the cleaner harder shots and won going away. Also PBF fought Oscar on his terms at 154 where he wasn't drained.

Oscar gassed out as always and stopped jabbing. If Oscar had of kept up his pace he would've won. But a championship fight is 12 rounds, and just like Tito, Shane and even Hopkins, Oscar just can't keep it going for the duration.
It's pretty common knowledge Oscar gave his biggest fights away due to his poor endurance. Other than the Pacman fight, I don't know one fight Oscar was actually losing and behind on score cards after the first 6 rounds.

I agree with Teddy -- Floyd is the P4P best. Floyd will step it up and destroy Marquez to reinforce this since people are now questioning it with Manny on the top of their list. Floyd, just like other greats, fights best when he's got something to prove.

Mayweather ceased being the recognized p4p best the MINUTE he announced his retirement. End of story. He now has to earn it like everybody else, in the ring. Talk about having his cake and eating it too. So the next time he retires are we to wait 1 year, 2 years, 10 years or maybe till he dies before another p4p best is crowned? Don't care if he was coming back. When he was making his presser announcing his retirement from tear soaked eyes people beleived he was hanging up the gloves. Loved the Brian Kenny introduction when he interviewed Floyd. " and now the FORMER p4p king Floyd Mayweather" PBF hated that and then went on to say that because BK has never stepped foot in the ring that he don't know **** about boxing. Cop out. Floyd, give us all a break and let your fists do the talking, cuz your mouth aint doing you any favors.

So what can he say about PBF's performance against Hatton?

Pac demolished Hatton at Hatton's best weight. PBF's win over Hatton was not as impressive and it was at 147 where Hatton is known to struggle.

PBF also beat Hatton first and fought the fresher man who was undefeated and full of confidence.

You will conceded 147 wasn't Hatton's optimum weight though right?
