I have never read where anyone said that JMM was bigger than Floyd. Fact is, Floyd is usually the smaller fighter but not in that case or the Judah fight.:bbb
Sugar Ray Robinson was big WW still nobody never says that he bullied smaller man's. Hearns was huge WW. Sugar Ray Leonard is big WW And they all started at WW and fighted at WW majority of their careers. Yes they all moved to MW when they couldn't make 147 anymore. Floyd fought majority of his career at FW-LW. Floyd moved to WW when he couldn't make 135 anymore. Why you people can't see the greatness of floyd? SRL 147-168 and only one fight there against drained and weak champion lalonde Hearns 147-175 and only two fights at LHW late in her career.god sakes Hearns 6"1 Giant fighting finally against ownsize opponents.and no don't count CW they were all journeyman's. SRR 147-175 but didn't have almost any success at LHW FMJ 130-154 only three fights at 154. SRL +21 pounds Hearns +28 pounds SRR +28 pounds FMJ +24 pounds Floyd moving 6more pounds up and winning MW title would be one of the greatest archievements in boxing.i don't say floyd is the greatest but people tend to overlook what floyd have done. Excatly same as the other greats have done, maybe even better because he is still winning and dominating.
Garcia is developing nicely and there is no need for him to take this type of fight until he is ready. In fact I see no need for him to fight Mayweather at all.
floyd was struggling to come in at 150lbs for the Canelo fight, Floyd could easily make 140 0r 147. hes not a big guy. Canelo walks around at nearly 170lbs (apparently). is garcia bigger walk around weight? possibly. but floyd and garcia are roughly the same size. if floyd fights garcia is now 'a mis-match' doesnt make any sense. Atlas wouldnt be happy if floyd went in with Ward! Id like to see bradley-Garcia to see who fights floyd. other than that i cant think of any fighters who floyd would stuggle with. i think hed struggle with khan for a few rounds, and bradley would keep floyd occupied but no fighter on the planet can out-box floyd.
I'd imagine that that Floyds natural, undrained weight would be lower than Garcias. And certainly by the time Danny is filled out into his adult frame, 29-32. :think
Floyd and Garcia are about the same size, there is only half an inch height difference for Garcia and 4 inches reach advantage to Floyd. But, and this is a big one, Floyd has spent considerable time at 147, whereas Garcia, if he fights at 147, won't be as strong or as fast as he would be if he spent a few years in the weight class. This is a difficult concept to grasp for people that never boxed before, so you will have to take my words on faith. Walking around at a weight means nothing, because in the off season, boxers don't put on muscle, they rehydrate or get fat. Garcia can walk around at 190 and Floyd at 150 and still, functional muscle wise, Floyd would be the much bigger man.
