Last I checked Hagler wasn't in his late 30's nor did he lose by KO and was not a MIDGET!

Um he beat Hearns fair and square in their first enounter and did fight Duran two more times ..Yet the guy who holds wins over guys like Hearns ,Duran Hagler Benitez doesn't hold a candle to the guy who beat Ortiz ,Maidna,Gatti,Gurrero and Canelo nah he holds a cigar to him because he clearly smokes him in every category !

And yes Ray couldn't do what Floyd did he's too much of a real champ to cherry pick all time legends like Andre Berto

 

typical that youd increase the strength of Rays opposition just because they are older. Typical, typica, typical.

Get past your nostalgia and you'll see that a man who lost in his prime to a LIGHTWEIGHT would have nothing to offer Floyd, NOTHING.

This kind of BS again. Yeah Leonard's fighting Hagler was *****y, But Floyd not fighting Golovkin doesn't mean he doesn't care about his legacy. his legacy is already set. Mayweather has already won titles from super featherweight to light-middleweight. And the only reason why people want to watch Floyd fight Golovkin is to see him lose.

 

Absolutely nothing would change in regards to his haters. He would have a better resume for sure, but everyone that currently hates him would still hate him.

 

Is that the only reason they want him to fight GGG is to see him lose or is it that he is being held to a higher standard becuas he dubbs himself tbe meanwhile true greats challenged themselves above their best fighting weight like Srl did with Hagler ,same as Duran etc etc ..

 

Try to be even slightly objective,usually you pick Floyd worse opponents and compare,those to fighter X best wins.in this case you point Hagler,Hearns,Duran and Benitez.and pick up Floyd wins over Guerrero,Maidana,Ortiz etc...

Why didn't mention ODLH,Hatton,Cotto,Castillo,Coraless,Mosley,Pacquaio?of course because you have an agenda.

And i don't claim those victories are better than SRL wins.but please,be objective.it would be also stupid that i would pick all the weak fighters from SRL resume and start shouting ****.

And By the way i have SRL and Floyd as about in same level.SRL obvious bigger.both in top 10-20 ATG.

And By the way i have your master(Pacquaio) somewhere close top 30..atleast i try to be objective.

And it's common knowledge that athletes. Can compete nowadays close to 40 at top level.but as always full of excuses.

 

People who are looking back and discrediting Leonards career are only doing it with hindsight. Heading into the Hagler fight people thought ray was crazy and would be Killed. Yes he lost the first time to Duran who was a top 10 of all time and arguably the best lightweight ever.
He also stopped hearns and benitez... not to mention mayweather sr .

I'm not the biggest ray leonard fan but do rubbish him as a fighter is ridiculous.
