Margarito was suffering with back problems & couldn't train , therefore he was overweight & had to sweat it off making him extremely weak. Then he had to face the façade of Nazim Richardson blatantly lying that " PLASTER BLOCKS" fell out of his wraps. Why wasn't Richardson questioned about what happened to those so called " PLASTER BLOCKS" ???
Then to crown it all he had to face a juiced to the gills Steroid Shane Mosely. In retrospect Antonio should have pulled out of the fight as he was in no fit state to fight. But warrior that he is he went ahead . Unfortunately a blatant liar & a steroid cheat cost a good fighter his good name & hindered his career.
If you call that legitimately losing then I guess he did :patsch

I said in my post earlier, that i don't claim Floyd best wins are par on with SRL.because obviously they are not.but they are not so far away what you claim.and SRL resume is pretty thin.if you don't include those 4fighters.i had Floyd on par with SRL and top 10-20ATG. Because Floyd longevity and overall work over the years.Floyd don't have the standouts Victories like SRL.but has lot more quality wins.and if you had Floyd in 30-40 ATG.then we don't have That much of a gap.and also Floyd has fought between 130-154 and that's actually 1one pound more than SRL(if the Lalonde fight was at 168?)and Floyd had many singificant wins at 147-154.late in his career.SRL when moved up(compable jump 160-168) was way more picky with his fights.and
    didn't even fight so much.

Floyd have been so long in the top, that people almost forget that his bestdays were at 130-135(same as SRL at 147) think this ODLH is compared to Lalonde in same category.and even past his prime(even fought at MW) is way better than Lalonde.

And that's were Floyd has operated last 8yrs.was SRL at MW or SMW 8yrs.and all this after the prime?

I think Floyd should get credit for that.

Leonard ranks far above Mayweather, about 20 spots on my list. It's not too much of Mayweather's fault though, he just doesn't live in as good an era as Leonard.

He's def an atg his work below 130 really what makes him one he could arguably be the best 130 pounder of all time next to Arguello ..My thing is in his 49 fights he really chose the perfect time to fight guys ..The Pacquio fight was the biggest farce ever ..I always picked him to beat Manny had he fought him in 09 -10 when he was destroying guys it would have done more for his legacy but the minute JMM knocked him out it was all over . Leoanrad toward the tail end of his career was still fighting monsters I mean look at his last fight with Terry Norris ..He just took more risks In order to be great that's why I don't like these comparisons .

But it's not to say Floyd isn't a atg he's just not up there with guys like SRL imo

Anyway about Leonard & Mayweather ??

1... Leonard NEVER beat Hagler he got a gift resulting in Hagler a great champion, quitting boxing in disgust. Anyway Leonard only got that fight by stabbing Donald Curry in the back. That's why to me he's Saccharin Ray Leonard a fake
2... Mayweather. No one doubts his incredible God given talent . Talents worthy of an ATG BUT by his own actions he destroyed his chance of really becoming one. By cherry picking, blatantly avoiding his legitimate opponents. Even going to the depth of a fake retirement to avoid stepping up to the plate against the likes of Margarito, Williams & a rematch with Dela Hoya. ATG's do not act this way. Its sad really because if Floyd only had a set of ATG cojones he really could be among TBE today . As it is his legacy reads Floyd Mayweather jr .... A very talented wanna be

    How so?

I'm a big Floyd fan. I think he's defensively one of the top 3 fighters of all time. I'm just saying its very harsh to rubbish Ray leonard who in my opinion in has a very solid legacy. I mean name 5 other fighters who can lay claim to have beaten 3 all all time greats (4 if you include benitez) ?

You defend him like he's your girlfriend LOL I've never seen a poster back such lame excuses for a fighter in my life.

Back problems, overweight, couldn't train, demoralized, weight drained zzzzzzzzz

Tried to look for another fighter. Don't think there are any others in the modern era. Unless you consider Sonny Liston an ATG then Ali beat 3 (Foreman,Frazier,Liston). Pacquiao beat Morales, Barrera, and Marquez.

Floyd doesn't understand that. Don't ask a mouse to think like a cat...he's dumb.

Above their best weight, Floyd's best weight was lightweight... Not welterweight.

Leonard and Floyd don't compare well, but you can't compare the weight at all. You can't say "Floyd didn't fight at 168 so he's not as great", that's a poor argument, stick with the resumes.

He stabbed a friend of mine in the back with that Hagler fight then he got gifted a decision. He's a POS in my book
