But if you had him at 30-40 ATG you too see him pretty high?very rarely Floyd gets ranked By anybody inside top10. Usually it's 10-30 in most cases.and you are very close to that.
Replied also to your former post in this thread.but it went to Mars or somewhere.heh

But to answer quickly,of course i don't think Floyd best wins are on par with SRL.would be stupid to argue that.but One could claim that Duran's best days and prime was LW.and he also lost to Durant, and won in rematch mainly because taked advantage of Duran habits.of course amazing Victory.but still.(Marquez doesn't belong in same Group with Duran, but still Floyd dominated Marguez and gets no credit.Marguez 1st ballot HOF.and was close his prime(same as Duran).
And to extend waited to Hagler look slow.and it was late in SRL career.jumped this far whopping 13pounds(in era where weigh ins were same day)Floyd fought past his prime ODLH 24pounds over his
best days.of course it wasn't ODLH optimum weight like Hagler.

And what Floyd had done after ODLH,in last 8yrs south of 17-24 pounds to his absolute prime(or if you include 135 as it maybe should?) then 12-19 pounds.what goes SRL range with Hagler, that's one of the reasons i has Floyd neck&neck with SRL.but of course Floyd doesn't still deserve too much praise for that, many opponents were also coming from lighter weights and were not in prime anymore.

If Floyd had been born, say 3-5yrs earlier.do you think Floyd had moved up then?when he could have fought prime Mosley,ODLH,Trinidad.i don't know if Floyd had moved up.but kinda sad that was not the one of options when Floyd moved up.

Because at the time Floyd moved up,top WW's were Baldomir,Judah,Margarito etc??that is just sad(and yes i don't rank Margarito as second coming of Jesus.and Margo style is tailor made for Floyd.atleast according haters.slow plodding Mexican)Floyd feasted half of his career with these type of fighters according to them(but of course everybody who Floyd doesn't fight he ducks)

Nah my dude you're wrong.Martinez would make 150 and give Floyd 70%, of course floyd avoided him.

You do realize Sugar was retired for a year or two before fighting Haglar. It wasn't as if Sugar was prime either.

Had he not retired when he did and maybe beat on of the guys that people wanted him to fight and fought and beat Manny in 09 I would have no problems with him moving a bit higher but he didn't and the came back and took the path of least resistance ..

Ray Leonard should definitely be counted amongst the great welters, no question about it, but from 154 onwards he didn't do that much. Even the Hagler fight wasn't as good as people seem to remember given their age at that point and the fact that the fight was so close. There was always a lot of hype surrounding Leonard.

Thomas Hearns, post 147, has a much better legacy than Leonard.

I do agree, however, that Mayweather isn't a patch on either one of them.

I do agree to an extent but this statement comparing the scenarios is just plain stupid. Leonard was a bigger guy than floyd so going to 160 isn't comparable between the 2. Leonard was 32? 33? floyds 38... hagler was also older and coming to the end, golovkins prime... the situations just arent the same at all.

Yeah the scumbag was supposed to be retired and working as advisor to Donald Curry who wanted to move up & face Marvin
Leonard talked Don out of it while secretly negociating the fight for himself. Then to crown it all he got a gift dec over Hagler
He's Saccharin Ray Leonard in my book A fake:fire
