Just read on the scene...that Atlas will be training Povetkin. :rofl:rofl:rofl Besided from his predictions :patsch can't really vouch for atlas as a trainer. Especially as he's been out of the coaching scene for so long. What would drive team Povetkin to such a decision.

All I know about Atlas is his work with Moorer and his crazy antics in his matches and his work with Cus D'Amato. Oh yeah and that crazy gun **** with Tyson

I for one think this is a bad move. Atlas ruins just about everything he touches. Plus, all Teddy cares about is himself. He is a self promoter and when something goes wrong he always blames the fighter and never himself.

It's worth a shot I guess. Atlas knows his ****, if he didn't Povetkin and his team wouldn't bring him into their camp. Atlas' hate for the Klitschko's may help a bit, I have a strange feeling he's going to draw up a decent gameplan on how to beat Wlad, it's up to Povetkin to follow through on it.

  6. Atlas has worked with a very young Tyson, Mike Moorer, Donny Lalonde, and i believe Barry Mcguigan??:huh so he's certainly qualified, does Atlas speak Russian?? the only problem could be a language barrier...
Povetkin has a good future a few more fights and he should be ready for Wlad Klitchko..

    Yeah McGuigan was his fighter.

Elvir Muriqi when he was younger too.

Povetkin is limited and has just enough skill to become a fringe contender.

How long did he have McGuigan for, was it right of the bat?

Why did he split from Elvir. Have to admit dont really know anything about his credentials except for his high profile boxers, Moorer and Tyson (obviously due to the gun episode)

He is not training Povetkin-his there to merely there to evaluate and help him out and give him some pointers-its more like a "consultant" job.
