Heard the guy say this on the feed I was watching.

The only other guy in boxing who could draw that size of crowd (besides Vitali) for a Chambers-level opponent is Pacquiao.

Yes, the Klitschkos would love to be more popular in the USA than they are. But it almost doesn't matter because they're banking huge cash in Europe and then coming back to Beverly Hills or wherever to enjoy the Euro-dollar exchange rate.

Or imagine how many fans Pac could draw in the Philippines. Don't know if they have any big stadiums or arenas there that could hold a **** load of people.

That's the second time I've heard this tonight, complete and utter rubbish.

The American market is huge and can easily add 30 million+ to a purse.

    Almost doesn't matter:lol:

I can believe these robots can fill up 51000 people. I think the europeans just like to get together to drink and thats the reason you get these huge crowds. I dont see any other reason why you want to watch Wlad just throw 50 jabs every round and 1 right until the third round. I didnt see the Cham fight but I am guessing thats what happened

The Klitschkos are very good in promoting their fights here in germany. Another point is, that 85% of the tickets were between 20 and 55 €.

I wouldn´t be surprised if Klitschko-Sosnowski will be sold out fast, too. Then it´ll be an attendance of 61.000 again at Veltins-Arena.

They are just very good at selling their fights together with RTL and there are always lots of cheap tickets for casual fans, that just want to feel the atmosphere and have some drinks.

    It wont work here.

    People are too greedy.

When they said that Pac-Larios was gonna be held in the Philippines, I thought that I, as well as many thousands of his fans will be able to watch him fight live.

Well, the organizers made the tickets sooo expensive that only the very rich people will be able to watch his fight.

First, the fight was held in a closed venue (limited seats available) instead of an open field,

Then, they priced the tickets too high, it was as if it was held in Las Vegas. *******s.

    1 US dollar = 46 Philippine pesos

And minimum wage in the Philippines (city) is less than US$10.00 a day.

How do you expect the average person who's a life long boxing fan to afford decent tickets?

    They're assholes.

It's a big difference with a Ricky Hatton bout in Manchester yes, but it's a whole other bread of people.

I think German/Euro culture when it comes to boxing is different compared to how other countries view it today.

It's more like a social event for them, it seems. Some fights have reserved tables up front, with fans wearing formal clothes and stuff.

It seems like such an event for them.

Big stadiums, pyrotechnics, laser shows, looong introdutions.

It's like some live stage show.
