What we have here is a young golden goose type who can take a punch, so a KO loss is unlikely. And if it comes down to a decision, his promoter has the judges who are perfectly fine with robbery like scorecards. So why not bet on Canelo? Sounds like a near sure thing.
1000 punches 1000 landed, Right hook Left straights deflecting of Canelos Nut all Night. Can Canelo actually win a fight without landing a blow? Its certainly possible.
Straight after the fight canelos odds for points win were 5/1 which i thought were huge, gutted i didn't lump on as i thought the betting public clearly thought ggg was going to take it as his odds were 1/3.
was gonna but didnt touch the fight. went instead for Yildrim, Lemmy KO, Munguia KO treble. easier money to make.
I did, Mehico independance day! No way he loses, undalay! Eepha!!! . But in all seriousness though, Golovkin on the back foot all night throwing pitty pat jabs in sparring session mode, me thinks Golovkin was in on this shenanigans to pocket another $20 million payday in Alvarez vs Golovkin 3 before he retires. Just a thought.
Completely agree mate. Compare the GGG that fought Jacobs, Brook and Vanes to this, like a different fighter. Canelo fought like he always does. Even the way GGG stormed off to the dressing room had something odd about it.
38 wins 34 kos, Golovkin has always walked through opponents like they were nothing. In the biggest fight in his career at his age, he tries a different style to out jab Alvarez off the backfoot without even trying to steamroll Alvarez once? Either something smells fishy here or some ring girls just walked past. People quickly forget Golovkin comes from a rough as hell family of Russian coal miners in Kazakhstan and was a street thug growing up. Fighting equals money in anyway they can get it for these guys, including taking it easy in a fight if it means they can get a hell of a lot more.
I knew this all the way back in 2013. Mayweather beat him in a very lopsided manner (arguably one of Floyd's best performances of the last 10 years of his career,) and somehow was awarded a draw scorecard by one of the judges. Alvarez didn't win more than 2 rounds in that fight and that's probably being generous. I don't blame the fighter though, they don't have anything to do with the scores themselves.
No actually he won't. Oh, sure, he may well outbox him in the ring, but Saunders can't knock Canelo out and when those little bits of paper come in history will record a UD win for ginger.
