At the risk of making this sound like a plug for Topps trading cards, I just wanted to inform you all that 2008 Topps Co-Signers baseball cards have BOXING autographed cards randomly inserted into the packs. Each box contains 12 packs with 2 single-signed cards & 1 dual signed card of either baseball players or boxers. Given the fact that this IS a baseball product, the majority of collectors are looking for autos of baseball players, not boxers.I work in a sports hobby shop, & more often than not my customers are disappointed to pull...say, Israel Vazquez, for instance & I'm more than happy to make a deal for it. There are 46 total autographed boxing cards in the set with a checklist comprised of some of the biggest names in the sport: Vazquez, Rafael Marquez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Kelly Pavlik (inscribed "The Ghost") Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, Andre Berto, Edison Miranda, Arthur Abraham, Daniel Ponce DeLeon, Joan Guzman, Jorge Arce, Aaron Pryor, Sam Peter, and a number of others. Teddy Atlas & Bert Sugar also have their own auto'd cards. The coolest ones, IMO, are the dual signed Vazquez-Marquez (I paid $23 for mine), & Pavlik-Mancini (the most expensive one in the set which I have yet to get can be had for about $100) Most of the others can be obtained in online auctions for $25 or less. I've been able to get about 20 of the more sought-after of the 46 cards, and the most I've paid for any of them is $50 for the Pavlik. This is the first time since "Ringlords" & "Kayo" put out boxing cards in '91 that you can walk into your local hobby shop and have a decent chance of finding boxing cards.(Brown's Boxing cards have been putting sets out annually for years, but good luck trying to find them.)
