Although he knocked down a durable ruiz numerous times, ko'd barrett and had valuev on ***** street with one hand. So yes Haye can ko Harrison and early. Haye said in the original presser that tall southpaws are tailor made for him - does anyone know why he thinks this...?
Spot on. Couldn't agree more. This will be no dress rehersal for Wlad for Haye, this will be an easy nights money with an average heavyweight
I truthfully cant see Haye losing ive been looking at a few harrison fights, and seriously i dont think he will be able to keep up with hayes speed, plus haye has the power, audley maybe the taller/bigger bloke but you saw how hayes punch rocked Valuev, yeah he didnt ko him but a few more rounds and i think he might of been on his ass, and its got to be some hard punch to rock a bloke that size, if he connects to harrisons chin with a shot like that, its lights out for harrison. i hope it does not end in a few rounds but i can see it ending within 3 rounds, Haye would not want to take the risk of getting caught. G
I see people are buying Sky's massive hyperdrive of this fight and are beginning to think that Audrey has a chance. Just roll back a minute. Audrey lost to that bum Danny Williams in their first fight which was a massive borefest. Of course A Farce has a punchers chance. Any heavyweight has a chance if catching their opponent with a lucky punch. But, Haye is far too fast, experienced to get caught. The first time Haye unloads, expect A Farce to go into his shell. It will either be a very quick KO for Haye, or Audrey will shut up shop to make it a landslide points win for Haye.
Audley has one big advantage over Haye. His hunger. He's waited so long for this chance, at 39 years old this is it, he's not getting another chance, this is his one and only chance to win a world title which has been his goal ever since he turned pro. One chance to win Olympic gold-he did it. One chance to rescue his career with prizefighter-he looked ****, but he did it. Less than a minute to rescue his career against Sprott-he did it. You can't finish the guy off. He's too stubborn for that, too optimistic, mentally strong, "deluded" call it whatever you like, but you can't keep him down and finish him off. This fight is not about Harrison being better than Haye or anyone else in the heavyweight division. It's just a guy trying to do some justice to his talent and achieve a long time goal of his. Don't underestimate his desire. "Fights are not won on paper". This is true. Haye has already achieved his dream, he's not even that bothered about a Klitschko fight and in his own words will only fight if he gets the terms and conditions he wants. These days he fights only twice a year and he's talking about retiring and going into Hollywood. I don't think Haye is a hungry fighter anymore. Quite a few people in the boxing community are backing Harrison. People like Bruno, Chisora and Rogan.
You really are putting too much stock in this psychological edge thing, but when push comes to shove, most fights are decided on levels, stylistic's, Haye has both those areas on lock against Harrison.
How can you say that ? Haye has next to no experience of fighting southpaws and a southpaew the size of Audley to boot. Stylistcally this could be a complete nightmare for Haye.
Haye is just as hungry and focused as Audley Harrison. You mention the times that Audley's pulled it out of the bag but these were against poor or domestic level opponents. Audley has about as much chance of beating Haye than he does of beating Usain Bolt in a 100m sprint.
Harrison does have that going for him, provided the stuff he is talking, translates to how!! he fights, he can be up for it all he wants, but if he does what he normally does, stand around looking for the odd left hand counter whilst dropping rounds due to inactivity, he will get planted. I dont think he is mentally strong, mentally strong people dont put themselves behind the 8 ball, then bottle it, only to show character to come back, they execute right there and then. I hope he does, just dont see it though, the more and more I have thought about it, the less likely it seems. Dude, Barry McGuigan and others on the Sky panel predicted Tyson to KO Holyfield in 1 or 2 rounds.
In fairness Haye was about to go into a fight when that sparring session took place, whilst Audley was out of shape and not due to fight for a while
