Audie Murphy quote that I think applies to classic boxing

Now honestly I don’t enjoy guys above 147lbs usually. Very few above that mark, at 175lbs beyond that there is only really Joe Louis at HW he is one of the only guys who has a viable style for anything below 147lbs at the elite level.

Usyk like most guys his size just doesn’t fight in an enjoyable way to me or in reality an overly skilled matter- in the grand scheme when you look at all other weight classes and all the many fighters in boxing that is. Why I say he belongs in the amateurs is because that’s exactly how he fights.

About ten guys who could beat him, that’s too objective and not really the point of my statement. It’s more about the overall decline in skill, I don’t find Ali an overly skilled fighter for example but there is a very good chance he would just out-fight say Ezzard Charles.

 

They’re good to decent fighters yes, but they aren’t overly skilled or comparable to the real greats. I think that’s what I’ve lost in translation. I don’t think they’ve had the chance to reach there full potentials.

 

Ugh- Obviously I have seen him, when I say watch I mean sit and enjoy, see them fight again and again etc.
