Broner is now a 135 pounder.

Rios is now a 140 pounder.

    137.5? :think

Rios can't make 135.. But if he could, I would love to see the fight. Just don't want weight drained excuses flying from his camp and fans.. Hopefully he'll still be relevant when they can comfortably make the same weight class.

Broner doesn't clinch like a ***** though. He actually likes to bang. He is a throwback to the black fighters of old. It would be a great fight and I would be cool with either of them winning.

    Rios is nothing like PDL.

first off, PDL is a southpaw, which is the thing i think troubled Broner the most. he was pretty hard to adjust to and figure out. and PDL fought a very pacient and smart fight. Rios is the total opposite, what u see is what u get. he'll come straight forward and try to pummel u on the inside.

Broner may have the athletic ability, defense, speed, and power to keep Rios off. on to op that Broner has been very difficult to hit lately. been using that shoulder roll to perfection and can quickly counter from it. Broner will be a stylistic nightmare for Rios.

Broner is not careless like others that like to "bang" tho. u may call it ***** ****, but its what keeps mother****ers from getting KO'd.

he's actually been fighting like the new version of mayweather. staying defensively responsible, but still getting his combinations off when he gets the chance. but all in all, still able to box on the backfoot when he needs to.

thats what u call a complete fighter. :yep

i would like to see if Broner could wether this type of storm. i hate this GBP-TR beef :-(

Agree. If Broner can beat this hungry kid, he will be the truth. All we need to see from Broner is how well he can take a punch and how he responds to a solid pressure fighter. However, I don't think it will happen any time soon. Broner is a 135 pounder and Rios is 140 now. Not to mention GD vs TR ego feud.

A complete fighter needs a chin though. Broner's is still to get tested. Against a 22 year old Broner, I don't think he's matured enough in the ring to make less mistakes. This would be a great fight for both to answer many questions.

If Broner can take those punches, he'll take this fight.

I didn't say he didn't have good defensive skill, and I agree he is a complete fighter, but unlike Mayweather, he has a better offense. He doesn't rely on winning with pot shots, he makes the fight entertaining, and Rios would be a perfect fit. The fight would be entertaining as hell.

I'm fine with clinching when hurt, because it is occasional, but excessive clinching is a ***** tactic, wheter you like it or not. Alexander, Molina, Khan, and Ward are all guilty of this.

Yea, 137 sounds good. Did Rios struggle to make the catch weight against Abril?I believe the fight was for a catch weight. Not 100 on it though.

im fine with clenching when needed.

but i agree the clinching that Abril, Alexander and Molina pulled is shitty as hell.

i like Wards overall style tho.

yep. thats one of the biggest questions. can he take good punch?
i dont think it was a catchweight. i think it was @ 135 and he was like 2 pounds above the limit.

i actually think this should maybe take place @ 138 just in case.

Rios has a great chin, and is stronger......if Rios were a bit better defensively I would bet on him without a doubt.....but...he isn“t, so.....
Anyway, this would be a great fight.....
