Tho I've lived in the UK and my old man's from London, essentially I'm pretty much disconnected from the British boxing scene, however, I find it very interesting to follow. So I'm a casual observer only here.

I'm Australian and was in Sydney when Audley won his medal and have followed his dysfunctional career to date.

What do people think his best options are now?

For me he seems to have two ...

    1. Change the way he projects himself to the public. Have a laugh at himself and then state that he wants to aim at the British title and defend it a few times. Give some respect to the other Brit HWs on the scene and acknowledge both Sprott and Rogan as challenging opponents that he thinks he can get past second time around. Fight hype machine Tyson Fury at some stage. Go out with a British title behind him and some reluctant respect from his countrymen.

    2. Get the F out of the UK scene altogether and get a couple of wins against known Americans or Eastern Europeans then look for a window of opportunity against a ranked fighter coming off a loss or needing a late replacement for an injured pull-out.

I'm not saying he necessarily has the ability to be successful on either path. I'm just interested to hear opinions on where to from here.

    cheers.

He should rematch Rogan for the British title and come to fight, he does that he's British Champion
Then he should knock the **** out of Fury :good

After that he can say what he wants :good

I agree. Both those fights would be cool.

This may seem a bit strange in the UK, but Audley Harrison could actually make very good money fighting once or twice in China. His Olympic Gold medal would be a strong marketing point in the PRC and virtually no-one there would have been reading his bad English language press over the years.
